 Walking from Gerringong to Minnamurra is the last leg of our wonderful & epic journey. It is one of the prettiest & most spectacular walks along the shoreline. We will walk pass many headlands, beaches, cliffs, rainforest remnants & grazing fields. Along the way there is the Kiama lighthouse, 2 blowholes, Cathedral Rocks & the basalt graveyard & moonscape of Bombo Headland. There is a possibility of sightings of whales migrating, dolphins popping in & out & large eels in a creek. An interesting day.

   The day starts at Grosvenor Place, 225 George Street Sydney. An iconic masterpiece by Harry Seidler. We meet at the piazza where you can have lunch, eg coffee shop, Yum Cha Project. Then we walk to Sydney Observatory, Barangaroo and along the water front to St Mary's Cathedral. We can have afternoon tea under the Harbour Bridge Pylon, then walk to IGA where you can buy something for a picnic around the Cathedral. We’ll gather around the Eastern Door of the cathedral at 6pm.We will climb the stairs at the conclusion of mass. The mass starts at 5:30. You are welcome to attend the mass. We'll see the bells being rung by the St Mary's bellringers from 6.15pm and we can see the bells hanging in the belfry afterwards at 7.15pm. Finishing time will be approximately 7.30pm Fitness is required for this walk. There are 111 spiral stairs to the ringing room and a few flights of stairs to the belfry. Many steps. This is a rare opportunity that only a few members can join. Only RSVP if you can commit 100%. Limit: 6.

The walk then turns south along the Esplanade, with ocean views changing from Cape Bailey in the north to Jibbon Head in the south.   The Pretty Plain area is a lovely part of Kosciuszko National Park. Great scenery, lovely bushland, and two of the best of the huts to camp nearby. Even better, we spend multiple days near each hut (two nights at Pretty Plain and three nights at Wheelers).
Access is via Dargals and Hell Hole Trails to Pretty Plain. We return along Pretty Plain and take the shortcut across to Wheelers Hut. Return is again via Dargals Trail.
At the start and end of walk we stay at a Ski Lodge at Jindabyne with the usual BBQs on the deck overlooking the lake. A lovely walk with lots of relaxing time. Location: Kosciuszko NP Limit: 12.

Find out why this part of the Gardens of Stone must be better protected for the future generations.
Park at around GR 224 317 on Glen Davis Road. Ascend to the top of Fort Ridge, then follow it north and descend into a ravine at GR 219 330. Explore the ravine upstream and climb out to Torbane Balcony at around GR 221 332. Walk to a promontory point at GR 219 331, then return to the balcony and continue south to about GR 222 330. Find a way down under the cliffs and explore the ravine to the south, finishing on Fort Ridge. On the way back, visit The Fort, if time permits. About 6 km. Scrambling and exposure.  (NEW!!!) (Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) Ropes practise day at Mount York. This day is aimed for those who have abseiled before and have their own equipment. It will be compulsory to have a harness, helmet, safety tether, descending device for single rope. We will be practising abseiling on small pitches, gradually moving up in difficulty to an overhang. There will be breaks where we will also practise knots that are commonly used when canyoning. There will be a chance to use prussiks to climb back up a pitch and to also use mechanical ascenders. A fee of $5.00 each will be collected to cover wear and tear on ropes supplied by members. There will a number of safety briefings spread throughout the day and we will have a chance to practise tying off part way through an abseil and then untying and recommencing the abseil. We will practise double fishermans, tape knot, stone knot and munter hitch. Short lengths of knot practise rope and tape will be provided. Abseiling is a dangerous activity that could result in death or serious injury. All attendees must sign NPA's Risk Waiver Form prior to commencing the activity. All abseils are adjacent a cliff, and any member within two body lengths of the cliff edge must be attached to a safety tether. Location: Blue Mountains National Park Map: Hartley 89304N Limit: 12.

(NEW!!!) Park at GR 725 932 on Mountain Lagoon Road. Walk north along Nirvana Ridge on an old logging trail, then off track to a cliff line starting at around GR 729 954. Traverse north, then north east at that level, then descend to Kaleidoscope Caves. Next, climb back up and continue traversing till around GR 737 961. Depending on the time, there are a number of options from here, including visiting Byzantine Chamber or Psychedelic Caves. Exit to Nirvana Ridge and follow it back to the cars. About 11 km.
