A circular walk in the Southern section of Bangadilly NP. Combining management tracks, walking trails & open cross country we will walk through an interesting blend of Sydney Basin & Tableland flora & also walk along a rarely visited section of the Wingecarribee River. If there are sufficient resources available, there may be an optional detour for some of the walkers that will involve an additional climb followed by a short but steep descent. This is definitely one of my favourite walks in the Mugii Murum-Ban SCA as it shows off some of the most spectacular country in this fabulous location including an eagles eye view into the Valley of the Dinosaurs along with more pagodas than you can point a boot at!We will visit the Ultimate slot on the way back as it is only a short sidetrip! Once we leave the firetrail it is all offtrack walking along Treasure chest ridge but it is not terribly difficult. I've put the walk length at 6 kms but that is only if we are able to drive most of the way up the access road. If the access gate is closed add 4 extra kms. rock scrambling and offtrack walking Location: Mugii Murum-ban SCA Map: Glen Alice 89314N Limit: 12.

One of the classic lower mountains walks is this superb route that descends via the ruggedly beautiful Pisgah Rock and then we rock hop up to the historical Dadder Cave for a look, before experiencing the stunning beauty of the Erskine creek gorge and an easy ascent via Jack Evans track. There should be plenty of Winter wildflowers out too to enjoy along the way. rock hopping along the creek Location: Blue Mountains National Park Map: Penrith 90303N Limit: 20.

There are many sections of Ben Bullen state forest which need to be protected due to the ongoing coal mining industry encroaching upon and damaging the fragile pagoda landscape. On this walk we will explore a fascinating area that has many caves of significant importance, deep dark secretive slots and a thousand and one pagodas worth investigating! rock scrambling and offtrack walking Location: Ben Bullen SF Map: Cullen Bullen 89313N Limit: 12.

A repeat of last year's walk which was just awesome; one of the very best in Kosciuszko area. Email for an information pack about the walk. A six-night full pack walk involving Daveys Hut, Kidmans Hut, and Mawsons Hut. Exact details will be determined by weather and other factors. We camp near these huts but not in them so everyone must be fully equipped for the variety of conditions in the area which can be very variable. We stay at ski lodge in Jindabyne for a night on either side of the walk with our regular BBQ overlooking the lake. We need some suitable cars in order to access the start of the walk. Always a pleasure walking in Kosciuszko area and this walk has everything: magnificent scenery; lovely bush; great campsites; and some challenging walking. Not to be missed! (Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) When the heat of Summer is upon us, where do we go to escape the heat? The Colo River Gorge of course!
On this particular walk we will experience the outstanding beauty of what is essentially the lifeline and heart of the Wollemi wilderness, the stunning Colo River and in particular the section between Tootie Creek and Meroo campsite. Expect long sandbanks, clear, tranquil pools, the exquisite Tootie cascades and lots of peace and quiet with only birdsong and the rivers gentle sounds to keep you company, as well as you're hiking friends of course. offtrack walking along the Colo river with scrambling at times. A repeat for those who missed the walk last year (like me!). The Pretty Plain area is a lovely part of Kosciuszko National Park. Great scenery, lovely bushland, and two of the best of the huts to camp nearby. Even better, we spend multiple days near each hut (two nights at Pretty Plain and three nights at Wheelers). Access is via Dargals Trail to Pretty Plain (a new way thanks the exploration of the last year's group). We return along Pretty Plain, Hell Hole Track and take the shortcut across to Wheelers Hut. Return from Wheelers Hut is again via Dargals Trail. At the start and end of walk we stay at a Ski Lodge at Jindabyne with the usual BBQs on the deck overlooking the lake. A lovely walk with relaxing time near the huts. Location: Kosciuszko NP Limit: 12.
