Retrace the famous explorer Ludwig Leichhardt's remarkable 1843 journey to Mt Royal (50km north of Singleton) with Martin from nearby Callicoma Hill Eco-cabins, who has researched Leichhardt’s eventful but scarcely known visit. Leichhardt left a legacy of plant collection, natural history insight & detailed scientific observations that Martin will bring to life in this beautiful place which has remained largely unchanged in 170 years. Join a small group on a hard, steep 4 hour Sunday morning walk, or the afternoon easier 2-hour rainforest meander.
Accommodation is available at nearby Callicoma Hill: bush camping ($15pppn), 10 bed bunkhouse or 3 bedroom eco-cabin - see www.calli.com.au. Martin and Jan are members of NPA and provide a Members Benefit Discount at Callicoma Hill Eco-cabins.

|(NEW!!!) This walk takes the “Stairway to Heaven” at Palm Beach, climbing from the Pittwater side of the Palm Beach peninsula to the ocean side. After following the beach north it heads up the Barrenjoey headland to the lighthouse returning to water level. The climbs are rewarded with 360-degree views over the peninsula, Pittwater, Broken Bay and the eastern coastline. Steps.

|(Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) The walk commences at the top of Saddleback Mountain and descends steeply before ascending to Hoddles Track. The track leads along the cliff face and ascends up to enter Barron Grounds. The lunch spot provides beautiful views down to the coast.
Hazards: Rough track, very steep descents and ascents, slippery rocks and unfenced cliff edges

|Follow a gradual descent from Stanwell Park Station. Ascend a steep track to Bald Hill, Stanwell Tops. Follow Coast Track to Burning Palms then ascend the Burgh Track to meet Bolo Ridge. Follow ridge sometimes on a faint track to meet Lady Carrington Drive. Follow Forest Island, Couranda and Uloola Tracks to Waterfall Station. Creek crossings, slippery with loose rocky sections.

|(Nearly fully booked) Leader will be Brad Sichter. Today we will walk from Thornleigh to Hornsby. Starting at Thornleigh Station with a little local history, we will head west along the Great North Walk before diverting through Westleigh and then returning to the bush again on our way to Lisgar Gardens. Lisgar Gardens is a wonderful, secret garden hidden in the back streets of Hornsby. Spread across 6 acres, the garden packs a lot in with a little bit of something for everyone. Lisgar Gardens are famous for their Camellias. There are around ninety varieties in the garden. Some steep and slippery sections, steep staircases and elevation changes. steep staircase

The modern and spacious wildlife exhbits provide close viewing of the various native animals on display. The exhibited animals and interpretative signage located along the boardwalk (both wheelchair and pram friendly) provide an opportunity for visitors to observe the fauna and learn about each species.
Comprising Eucalypt Forest and pockets of significant remnant vegetation, Blackbutt Reserve boasts a restored rainforest providing habitats for a number of rare and vulnerable species.

|(Fully Booked) We walk from Katoomba to Leura via Prince Henry Cliff Walk. Never-ending view of Mount Solitary and The Three sisters. We’ll visit many scenic points including Lady Darley Lookout, Kedumba View, Echo Point, Minnamurra Lookout, Honeymoon Lookout, Bridal Veil View, Leura Cascades, Olympian Rock and Gordon Falls Lookout. Steep and slipppery sections. Gortex boots an advantage. Walk will be cancelled in severe weather warning, bush fire warning or park closure. Please check your mailbox the night before to make sure walk is still on.
