Incredibly rugged and populated by more pagodas,slots and ravines and superlative viewing points than you can possibly imagine it will keep the adventurous bushwalker focused and delighted for as long as youre hearts desire. Accommodation will be in the very comfortable Royal Hotel for the 3 day walks in MMB. Rock scrambling and off-track sections with very few tracks.

Climb north up the ridge to the cliff line and follow it around to Pink Star Cave. Descend to Blacksmiths Creek via a gully to the south. To make the ascent, take either a gully to the west, or Long Gully to the south east. Walk back to the start. Partly exploratory. About 12 km. Scrambling and exposure.

This presentation will discuss Thomas Vallance Wran's significance in Australian art history and role of sculpture as architecture’s silent voice, inasmuch as ‘architecture is history’. Thomas Vallance Wran (1832- 1891) came to Rockhampton in 1870 as a selector and established himself in Balmain 2 years later. His sculptures can be seen on major Sydney monuments such as the General Post Office, The Great Synagogue, Annandale Creative Arts Centre and Founders Hall at Newington College. His last work is a coat of arms on Balmain Court House. We may take photographs of the speakers and the audience at this event. Read here for more details.

This is a foreshore urban walk, via Barangaroo, Cockle Bay, Pyrmont Bay and Point Park, walking through the Fish Market area where you can view the building of the new Fish Market, Pyrmont Bridge by Wentworth Park, Blackwattle Bay and Park, which is reclaimed land dedicated as parkland, with some interesting history to read, buildings and relics of interest and onto Glebe Point - see the Moreton Bay Figs,  Bicentennial Park to the light rail at Jubilee Park which takes us to Central Station. Mainly level walk.

Passing through historical properties, then cross over on the punt. Return to the start over John Whitton Bridge. There are train stations along the way if you prefer a shorter ride or getting tired. Unfortunately, riding an e-bike on this trip will mean that you are not covered under NPA club insurance; Bushwalking Australia is working to see if it can be covered for future trips. This section takes us on pathway over the Minnamurra River, see the spectacular river entrance, headlands, beaches and rock platforms to Kiama harbour and lighthouse. Those from Sydney take South Coast train departing Central 07:29, arriving Shellharbour Junction 09:34. Walk starts at Shellharbour Junction station and finishes at Kiama station. Part of the Great South Coast Walk  (http://greatsouthcoastwalk.net/) a long-distance walking route along the southern coastline of New South Wales, from Bundeena on the southern fringe of Sydney, to Mallacoota, just over the border in Victoria, 660km in total.   Limit: 15. Walking under the Highway near the RAAF Base we discover a disused railway tunnel and an old tramway, used to build the present railway line. We will follow the tramway to its end and see some more great views. Much, but not all the change in elevation on this walk is downhill. We finish at Lapstone Station. Booking essential. A few rough sections of track.

After backtracking a short distance we then traverse a new track through to Radcliffs lookout for lunch. After lunch it's a short backtrack to pick up a track down through a glen to the ruins of a farm house and then on to Lake Werri Berri where we make our way back to the cars. Hazards: Some rough track and unfenced cliffs.

Head east on W44  to a locked gate and continue along W.E Middleton Drive until reaching a fire trail on our right and heading south. At the end of the fire trail is a lookout. From hear we pick out way off-track down the gully and head up the other side and make our way back to the starting point. Unfenced cliffs. Steep sections.

Two early climbs 210m and 180m.  This is one of Jims series of walks. 2 off-track sections including a long off-track scramble up a dry gully, unfenced lookouts, slippery in parts if wet.

It heads upstream before crossing over the ridge and Victoria Road to the scenic foreshore of Parramatta River, following it downstream past historic Bedlam Point.  It climbs up through the grounds of the old Gladesville Hospital, returning to Huntley's Point Ferry. This is a circular walk. Hazards: very few steps and short section of rough track.

Alight Sunset Boulevard and White Cross Road at 9:13. Walk part of Shaw's Ridge Track, then steep down to Blue Gum Track. Grotto, lovely ferny track, then up to Springwood Ridge Track and St Columba School. Near Hawkesbury Road various track along Birdwood Gully and Springwood Creek to Springwood Station. Option for an exploratory side track (marked on All Trails but I haven't found it yet). Steep, rough, could be slippery whether wet or dry leaves.

Starting at Balmoral Beach with its little jetty and huge fig trees; to Middle Head to explore fortifications and cliff top views beyond the Heads; then through angophora trees to Georges Heights and barracks converted to artist studios; and on to Clifton Gardens for lunch. Then we will walk beside secluded bays to the navy memorials at Bradley’s Head. Then it is a short walk to Taronga Zoo for a Ferry to Circular Quay and trains home. It all starts by boarding the first carriage of the SHL train at 7.14 am in Bowral and arriving in Wynyard at 9.45 then a bus or taxis to Balmoral beach. After coffee we shall start our walk at about 10:30 am. The walk is about 11kms. It takes about 4 hours and 45 mins including lunch and many stops along the way ( but not for cafes or a swim ). See what Arthur Streeton saw when he did some of his finest work. - See the lizards, lorikeets, wrens and bush turkeys. - Listen to the currawongs. Hear the waves, lapping at the shore. - Enter the fortifications where microbats now live. We aim to arrive at Taronga Zoo in time for connections to SHL train departing Central at 4pm. If all goes to plan you will be back at Bowral at 6pm.

We will then take a short walk around the block to the historic Albemarle Street and visit the abode of folk artist and long-time resident and local legend Dianne Gallagher. Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFind out why this part of the Gardens of Stone must be better protected for the future generations. Park the vehicles at around GR 306 175 on the branch road off the Bicentennial National Trail. Follow the Great Dividing Range north to Gordian Knot and then to Witches Watch, a spectacular lookout above Hecates Cauldron. From here, descend into the Cauldron and explore it underneath the cliff lines and also above, amidst “the bubbles”. Visit the Tower of Hope and other features. Descend into the headwaters of Baal Bone Creek, cross the valley and climb up through Tara Slot onto Tara Point. More amazing views. From here, move up to the ridge and re-connect with the vehicles. Scrambling and exposure. About 10 km.
