The Entrance Coast to Lake Scenic Walk is a 'string of pearls' walk connecting pedestrians to attractions, landmarks and facilities around The Entrance, covering over 7.6km of Central Coast's beautiful area. Join us for a mini holiday. Start with a scenic train ride to Central Coast. We walk from the Long Jetty, Tuggerah Lake to The Entrance, then to Toowoon Bay. Lisgar Gardens is a wonderful, secret garden hidden in the back streets of Hornsby. Spread across 6 acres, the garden packs a lot in with a little bit of something for everyone. Expect to see camelias, spring flowers, orchids, Magnolia, ferns, rare natural heritage, fish ponds, interesting landmarks such as murals and brick pit. Preview of Lisgar Gardens There are sixty Camellia Gardens of Excellence in the world, with the Camellia Gardens and Lisgar Gardens in Hornsby being the only two in NSW.  RSVP only accepted from 2 weeks prior to 7 pm the day before event. Walk along the north shore of the Parramatta River from Meadowbank to Huntleys Point. Along the way we will visit Helene Park, Anderson Park, Settlers Park, Clevevs Park, Kissing Point, Putney Park, Morrison Bay Park, Glades Bay Park, Banjo Patterson Park and Bedlam Bay, learning some Sydney history as we go. It's a colourfule walk. At this time of the year, we see purple jacarandas, red flame trees amongst giant fig trees. Walk the cool rainforest in Looking Glass Bay, walk Jenny's labrinryth, see orchid like Walking Lily in bloom, Parramatta River Regional Park, admire the community garden in Bedlam Bay and Gladesville hospital. We walk pass Gladesville Reserve before reaching Huntleys Point Wharf for a return trip home to Circular Quay or Meadowbank. Mud, steps, slip hazards.
