A varied loop, which passes the Bantry Bay Aboriginal engravings next to the Engravings Track, descends to Bantry Bay along the timber Getters Track and returns via the Scenic Bluff Track. There is an enormous Aboriginal engravings site (82 figures). We will visit The Bluff Lookout, a rock outcrop from which there are unobstructed views up Bantry Bay to Middle Harbour. As we ascend the Bluff Track there's constantly changing perspective over the bay and the historic Explosives Magazine buildings.View Esther's future walks Steep and slippery sections.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFind out for yourself why this unique area, currently under threat, must be protected, now. Drive to approximately GR 468 058 on the Deep Pass Trail. Head down a spur trending slightly west of south and then south as it nears Dingo Creek. Visit Howling Arch, an amazing natural feature. Enter Dingo Creek and progress downstream for about 1.3km, visiting the scenic Pool of Diana on the way, continue underneath high cliffs to GR 476 048, the start of a north, north-west trending ravine. Follow the ravine up, visiting the spectacular Pool of Aphrodite along the way, to eventually reconnect with the trail and the vehicles. About 6km. All off-track, some rock scrambling and exposure.

From the station walking to Evans Lookout via Braeside Trail. From Evans Lookout follow the Grand Canyon to exit up Neates Glen. Return to Blackheath. Most people have to duck when going under particular overhangs. There is a short dark passage and the path through it isn't flat. Wet rocks in places. Creek crossings.

Canyon | A trip through a canyon (a gully surrounded by tall cliffs).Liloing down through the stunning Wollangambe Canyon is one of summer's ultimate pleasures and I plan to check out a couple of interesting side canyons along the way too! So bring your lilo, sunnies, waterproof camera or phone and join me for this hedonistic day out in the wilderness. Some rock scrambling involved on the climb out. Deep water so must be able to swim or bring a life jacket. Wetsuits highly recommended.

Basically we walk down to the delightful Lincoln Creek via Pisgah Rock Track and then walk up Lincoln Creek as far as we dare before using our trusty lilos to float down the creek and shoot the rapids where possible. Guaranteed lots of swimming, refreshing watery times and general good fun. Steep track down Pisgah Rock and rapids on the lilo.

Canyon | A trip through a canyon (a gully surrounded by tall cliffs).Swim | A trip that involves swimmingUndeniably Rocky Creek Canyon is one of the Blue Mountains most spectacular canyons with its superbly sculptured walls, spectacular views along the way and a walk out to remember! Anyone coming on this trip must be able to swim as there is 3 short swims, the longest of which is about 50 metres. Also a wetsuit is mandatory as the water temperature is brisk to say the least. Some walkers may also prefer to bring a flotation device for the last and longest swim. Slippery rocks and cold water.

One of the prettiest walks in all of the Lower Mountains, this track (classified as hard track) winds along Florabella Creek and then Glenbrook Creek. Wildflowers, shelter caves, swimming holes, interesting sidetracks and lots of shady spots to rest make this a great adventure at any time of year. Steep and slippery sections. No-touch sign-on. Glenbrook Tunnel, Lennox Bridge The Gatekeepers Cottage, John Whitton Memorial and The Great River Walk are the highlights of the walk. The disused Glenbrook Tunnel is steeped in history. It was used as a secret site for mustard gas storage in World War II and in recent years housed a mushroom farm that one local MP called a "doss house". The Lennox Bridge is a heritage-listed road bridge at Mitchells Pass.
