Canyon | A trip through a canyon (a gully surrounded by tall cliffs).60 Best walks | This is one of the NPA's 60 best walks.Sunnyside Ridge - Number 8 Lookout - Wombat Canyon - Sonntag Retreat - Fern Gully Ridge - Fire trail No 8. A great introduction to canyons, no abseils, a beautiful little canyon, some scrambling, possible wet feet. Track, off-track with mild scrub, creek walking, minor scrambling. This is No 23 on the 60 Best Walks list. Limit: 10. Map: Cullen Bullen View

Two of the best climbs in the Blue Mountains IMHO, around 30%, each over 2km (and descents to weaken the strongest knees). Tremendous views, via Blue Gum Forest, river crossing - log bridge or wade. Camp | a trip that involves an overnight stay, usually in a tent.Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longLee Creek and Duet Saddle in Bylong Labyrinth. Co-leader Ian Thorpe. Drive on Friday night to Kandos or camp near the walk start. Early start on Saturday morning. Day 1. Drive one car GR 390 853 and another one to GR 388 816 on Nullo Mountain Road. From the second car, take a ridge W to Lee Creek. Take water and climb into Duet Saddle. Our progress from here will depend on the available time, but we will try to get to as close as possible or to the Goat Mountain. Establish high camp. About 8k. Day 2. Make our way N to Lee Creek, then up onto Tal Tal Range, follow it SE and descend into Bylong River; then walk E to the first car. Private property access will be arranged. About 12k. This is a recce walk for the planned Wollemi traverse. Exploratory. Limit: 8. Map: Growee View

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longKoopartoo Ravine, Trident and Koopartoo Point. Park at GR 412 209 on Wolgan Rd and climb NW into Koopartoo Ravine. Walk up the gorge and investigate a circular overhang area at around GR 404 222, then climb the cliffs to the east onto the spur and follow it to Koopartoo Point, GR 407 213, exploring pagoda formations and enjoying views along the way. From here, head east and descend a gully at GR 410 216. Check the ledge to the SW, then turn around and follow it NE to the known descent point at GR 414 221. About 10km. Largely exploratory.
