This coastal NP offers a mix of wilderness and less wild walking experiences. We will explore a variety of walks in the Mallacoota region. Contact leader for information pack. Joint activity with Illawarra Ramblers - joint limit. UPDATE: Given the extreme fire impact in the region this is trip is being reviewed. Presently we are still planning to go (13+ people confirmed) to do our part to support the community in Mallacoota. We will do one or two of the planned walks if we can along with some other activities but importantly we will contribute to the local economy. We will follow roads and paths to locate and follow the Bonny Doon Cliff Track. Continuing on we descend Nellies Glen and follow the Six Foot Track. Branching off from the main track we finish with a relaxed ascent through the spectacular Devils Hole. Cliff edges, possible wet slippery conditions.

Commence with a short steep climb from the station followed with a gradual descent on a variety of un-named tracks to the Hacking River. After a break we will backtrack and follow the Hacking River fire trail and cross the Hacking. We then follow the Red Cedar Circuit and cross back over the river. Now we ascend a short off-track section to pick up a variety of tracks leading back to Helensburgh Station. River crossings, cliff edges, loose stones.

On day 4 two coastal walks in the Wyrrabalong National Park – total distance 15km. Grade 2. All cycles are on bitumen cycle paths suitable for road bikes, hybrid or mountain bikes. There will be occasional road riding, mostly on quiet streets. Accommodation will be at the Budgewoi Holiday Park. Own transport required as we will need to drive to activities. We then follow the Princess Marina track to Kelly Falls. From the falls we will follow various tracks including an off-track section to roads that lead to Otford Station. Commencing with a short steep climb from the station followed with a 210m gradual descent on a variety of un-named tracks to the Hacking River. After a break, cross the river and ascend on the Burgh Track 220m, to Garawarra Farm. Follow the Cliff Track and descend 190m on the Lilyvale Track. Locate and follow the Karingal and Red Cedar Tracks to again cross the Hacking. We then follow the Hacking River fire trail and ascend a steep off-track section to pick up various tracks back to the station. Cliff edges, river crossings.

Accommodation | An activity that involves an overnight stay, using hard-roofed accommodation such as a cabin, hut or hotel.Camp | An activity that involves an overnight stay, usually in a tent.Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(Fully Booked) Camping at Cathedral Reserve Campground or staying in cottages at Mt Wilson in the Blue Mountains. Two to four days of walking nearby. Walks in Mt Wilson – Chinamans Hat and Pheasants Cave (4km) – grade 2, Mt Banks and exploration of the Banks Walls (exploratory off-track sections) – grade 3, Gooches Crater – grade 3, Rigby Hill Lookout and Pierces Pass to the Gross River – grade 3. Cathedral Reserve Campground is a large grassy open space with plenty of room for tents, Campervans and small motorhomes. Own transport is required, may be options for sharing cars depending on availability. Driving to walks will be shared amongst drivers and club rates will apply for passengers.
