Meg will take you on a journey of discovery into some of the more interesting exploratory trips she has done in the West MacDonnell Ranges where Meg has made some significant discoveries (as far as she has been able to ascertain) such as "Portals Canyon", and explored high level crossings of the Chewings Range. |The Kangaroo River Fire trail leads from Tallowa Dam Road down to Lake Yarungah. The fire trail winds through forest with beautiful ferns and interesting rock formations to a lovely lunch place on the banks of Lake Yarungah. Return by the same route. Rough fire trail and fallen trees.

|(Postponed) Walk postponed for now, new data to be announced in time. Start at locked gate on Kedumba Valley Road. Descend to Jamison Creek and then long ascent on Sublime Point Trail. Lots of ups and downs with numerous stairs towards Leura. Good fire trail walking with great 360° views taking in Mt Solitary, Kedumba Walls and the Three Sisters. Finish at Leura Cascades Car park.

|(NEW!!!) Kanangra Road-Marrilman Heath-Colboyd Ridge-Mount Great Groaner-Central Christys-Barralliers Crown-
Uni Rover track head.
This walk will be on pad in places with a good deal of off-track. The descent from Great Groaner to camp at Central Christys is steep and rough. The return journey begins with a steep ascent and then is a case of dodging banksia heath before entering forest terrain. Joint walk with Sydney Bush Walkers (SBW).

|The highlight of this walk is the superb displays of wild flowers which are always outstanding and the fantastic views from the Highway Ridge Walking Track. Also worth noting is the view from Mt Wondabyne and the beauty of Kariong Brook Waterfall.

|From NPWS Pretty Beach car park, ascend Durras Mtn along forest tracks. Descend to coast via the east trail and return via coast. Some rock – hopping. One of the best walks in the region! Note early start to beat the heat and leave time for leisurely lunch, swim/snorkel at Snake Bay.

|Aherns Lookout is found by following the beginning of Starlights Track. Take a left fork leading to Rocky Waterholes Lookout and just past this junction look for a right turn which meanders along the ridge to Aherns Lookout. This gives views over the Nattai with Mt Jellore easily identified. Return by the same route. Rough track, fallen trees and unfenced cliffs.
