Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longThe walk will go from Croobyar Road up an unnamed steep (and not on the map) fire trail to the Kingiman road, then on a track around an unnamed peak and up the ridge to the peak(off track) and back to the Mt Kingiman Road, down the hill on Turpentine Road back to Croobyar. About 11km with a climb of about 300m. Short and sharp, bring morning tea, but back in time for lunch. View

This walk explores some grand views, pleasant cascades, varied bushland and remote areas of Brisbane Waters National Park. From Patonga you will walk up the ridge and take a short side trip to enjoy the wonderful views from Warrah Lookout, before following a series of dirt roads and management trails to Patonga Creek in the heart of the national park. The walk then leads along a mix of trails and tracks mostly passing Mt Wondabyne, a worthwhile side trip, before crossing a few gullies with cool creeks and cascades. Past Myron Brook you will walk back down the waters edge at the remote and unique Wondabyne Train Station. Steep and slippery sections.

Canyon | A trip through a canyon (a gully surrounded by tall cliffs).Swim | A trip that involves swimmingSlow pace | A trip where the leader will set an easy pace.The justifiably famous Wollangambe Canyon is a delight especially as we float through its wonderfully sculptured narrow confines on our lilos admiring the spectacular scenery including a short detour up Crayfish Canyon. There is no abseils in this canyon but being able to swim is important and a lilo/portable raft is essential. Rock scrambling and deep water so lilo is necessary.

Accommodation | An activity that involves an overnight stay, using hard-roofed accommodation such as a cabin, hut or hotel.Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long60 Best walks | This is one of the NPA's 60 best walks.This will the 9th lodge based bushwalking trip I have lead staying at the very comfortable Kahane lodge at Perisher valley, doing day walks in the wonderful Kosciuszko National Park. We will explore many of the alpine tarns, ridges and peaks and enjoy the expansive wildflowers that you get at this time of the year. The lodge has a commercial style kitchen and all the rooms are twin share with ensuites. People coming on this trip often cook in groups as it is easier, practical and more fun but not compulsory. As usual, there will be 3 other leaders so people interested in a walk with have several choices each day! Walks are graded 2 to 5 Some off-track walking and rock scrambling on some of the walks, and potential for extreme weather.

A wonderful watery trip on a hot January weekend not far from Blackheath. Rock scrambling, cold water and a few short swims, so a wetsuit is necessary.

This is an incredibly beautiful section of the upper Kowmung River populated by numerous cascades, cool refreshing giant swimming pools and slabs of pink granite which is perfect for scrambling over, sunbaking on and allowing perfect grip as you explore your way down the river. In short, having the time of your life! Add to this the real chance of bagging a wild trout and some lovely campsites and you have all the attributes for an amazing experience worthy of saluting the Australia Day weekend in style! The walk involves walking down into the deep via Megalith ridge,establishing a basecamp at a loverly grassy campsite then exploring with day packs the Kowmung river upstream into the Morong Deep and downstream too which has a completely different character. Lots of rock scrambling.
