Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long60 Best walks | This is one of the NPA's 60 best walks.Photography | A trip that has a strong focus on encouraging people to capture photographs.Morong creek with its series of spectacular cascades and falls is one of the gems of the Kanangra Boyd National Park and on this walk we will follow its downward path as it plummets down to the Kowmung river. If its going to be a hot day we may not go all the way down to the Kowmung river but swim in the many pools created by the creek. Canyon | A trip through a canyon (a gully surrounded by tall cliffs).(Updated Details) If you are relatively new to canyoning and you want a really fun one to do which doesn't involve abseiling then Dargans Canyon is hard to beat! There are a few shortish swims and some scrambling down short sections of tape which are fairly easy and then there's the exit! This involves a scramble up a tree with spikes which sounds difficult but really isn't! Of course I'll set up a safety line before we climb the tree. Participants will need a wetsuit, helmet, waterproofed pack and if not a competent swimmer, a PFD. rock scrambling and slippery conditions

3-11 Mar, Tue (16:00PM)-Wed (08:00AM) Kosciuszko Pack Walk
Grade:4/6 Length 50km  2,200m Sydney Branch
Richard T.
Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(Fully Booked) A repeat of last year's walk which was just awesome; one of the very best in Kosciuszko area. Email for an information pack about the walk. A six-night full pack walk involving Daveys Hut, Kidmans Hut, and Mawsons Hut. Exact details will be determined by weather and other factors. We camp near these huts but not in them so everyone must be fully equipped for the variety of conditions in the area which can be very variable. We stay at ski lodge in Jindabyne for a night on either side of the walk with our regular BBQ overlooking the lake. We need some suitable cars in order to access the start of the walk. Always a pleasure walking in Kosciuszko area and this walk has everything: magnificent scenery; lovely bush; great campsites; and some challenging walking. Not to be missed!

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long60 Best walks | This is one of the NPA's 60 best walks.(Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) The Frenchmans Cap track in Tasmania's central plateau is an outstanding walk to one of the states tallest peaks, and allows the adventurous hiker to experience a landscape of outstanding beauty whilst being able to stay in comfortable huts along the way. This will be my 5th visit to the area and I'm as excited to revisit as I was on my first trip there back in the early 1980s, as unlike the Overland Track which is full of people, you'll often have the track to yourself. possible snow and rain with a steep track in parts

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long60 Best walks | This is one of the NPA's 60 best walks.Photography | A trip that has a strong focus on encouraging people to capture photographs.A walk with history and lots of pagodas and stunning views! We start our hike along the Tramway trail, passing various old miners dwellings now being overtaken by nature and head west until the trail ends and we then follow the ridge along to Blacks Corner. Sounds deceptively simple but along the way we will encounter more pagodas and slots than you can imagine as well as some almost parkland sections of grassy lomandra until we reach our objective, Blacks Corner. Along the way you'll encounter some of the best and largest swimming holes you could hope to find, gorgeous waterfalls and cascades and stands of towering trees in a rainforest environment.
