This is only 3.4 km loop track – a lot of which is on a fire trail. There is a lovely swimming hole and waterfall at The Basin on the Georges River. However, reviews suggest that the track along the river is a bit overgrown and at times rough. There are steep steps on leaving the river. The overall elevation gain is 90m and the walk is classed as a moderate (grade 3) hike. We will meet at 9.30am at the end of Georges River Rd Kentlyn, where there is an ample car park. Bring your swimmers and morning tea/lunch. If time permits we may visit Freres Crossing after our return to the car park. Join us to celebrate our multicultural heritage walks with authentic Indian cooking at Harris Park. We start from Kissing Point wharf, go along the cycleway alongside Parramatta River, looking out for native birds at Baludarri Wetlands, stopping briefly at the historical Hambledon Cottage before reaching our destination for our shared group lunch ($20).
