 (NEW!!!) How many times have you seen Mt Hay in the distance but you've never been up it. The top has trees, the view from there is not great but worth having a go.
Meet at Leura station.
Drive to the end of Mt Hay Road.
Walk to Butterbox Lookout. Great views here on a clear day.
Then walk up Mt Hay and beyond.
Return to cars and Leura station.

Dependent on the number of vehicles. There is 15km of unsealed road well graded. The drive is best in dry weather.
