Descend the Pass of Sabugal, cross the river and continue along the Pipeline. Follow various trails and tracks to Sutherland Station. Relaxed pace. Lots of ups and downs. River crossings, cliff edges, slippery, loose rocky sections.

This will be a 4 day full pack walk far from the maddening crowds of Easter to an area of wild rugged beauty full of complex ridge systems, a multitude of pagodas, superlative views and comfortable campsites with the odd camp cave thrown in. Gaze at the stars at night and warm yourselves around the campfire and enjoy the splendid isolation of this rarely visited area not all that far from Sydney's doorstep. People interested in this walk should be used to offtrack walking. Rock scrambling and off-track walking.

Known in the Dharug language as Wareamah, meaning ‘Women’s land’, Cockatoo Island is a former convict penal establishment and naval shipyard, located in the heart of Sydney Harbour... Cockatoo Island is a source of intrigue and inspiration for visitors owing to its heritage buildings, distinctive terrain and panoramic views. Popular attractions include heritage and campground accommodationwaterfront cafés and picnic spots. We meet at Cockatoo Island wharf at 10:15 am. There are some steep stairs. A rough estimate of length is 4km, including a walk to a pub or cafe in Balmain for lunch after catching a ferry from Cockatoo Island to Balmain after touring the island.

Leave one vehicle at Airly Mountain and drive to Airly Gap. Climb towards Airly Turret, approaching it from the west, then explore the turret and its slots. Continue east through dissected terrain of pagodas and ravines until we join the road which will take us down to the first car. Scrambling and exposure.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long60 Best walks | This is one of the NPA's 60 best walks.We start at the Prince Henry Cliff Walk, then walk down the Furber Stairs and along the Federal Pass walking track where we will access Mt Solitary, which has been out of bounds for over a year due to the previous fires of last summer. Then over the top of Mt.Solitary, down the Col and over the Kedumba River before we climb up onto the Kings Tableland where we finish the walk. This is a big walk with 2 decent climbs but all on tracks. Anyone contemplating this walk should be fit as this is definitely not a bludge walk by any means! Rock scrambling up onto Mt Solitary.

The Great North Walk is a 250 km walk from Sydney to Newcastle along bush tracks. The Sydney to Wondabyne walks were completed in 2019. This section is from the Wondabyne Station to the Old Moony Mooney Bridge. There will be a car shuttle between Hawkesbury River Station and the Old Mooney Mooney Bridge (45 mins return), and participants must come in a car with no more than the driver and 1 passenger. The walk will start at Wondabyne Station after a train ride from Hawkesbury River Station. Rough track, rocks, steep and slippery sections, creek crossings

The Great North Walk is a 250 km walk from Sydney to Newcastle along bush tracks. The Sydney to Wondabyne walks were completed in 2019. Section 1 from Wondabyne is on 2 May 2021. Sections 2 to 8 will be continuous day walks from Saturday, 08 May to Friday, 14 May 2021 staying overnight en-route; at farm stay for 2 to 4 nights, possibly staying at a cabin site for 2 nights, in a pub/hotel for 2 nights and at a caravan park for 1 night. To start the walk, all walkers will assemble at Misty Mountain Farm Stay site by nightfall on Friday, 07 May for an early start on Saturday, 08 May. Car shuffles will be required for all sections and participants will need to come in a car with no more than 1 other participant. Daily walks range from 11 km to 20 km and the walk rating are 3 and 4. Rough track, steep, rough, rocky and slippery sections, creek crossings, fallen trees and unfenced cliffs.

On this walk I intend to photograph and seek out as many of these formations as possible in a leisurely pace. However there might be some tape work involved so be prepared for off-track walking as we explore this marvellous area. Rock scrambling and off-track walking.

Follow the Great Dividing Range north to Gordian Knot and then to Witches Watch, a spectacular lookout above Hecates Cauldron. From here, descend into the Cauldron and explore it underneath the cliff lines and also above, amidst “the bubbles”. Visit the Tower of Hope and other attractions. Descend into the headwaters of Baal Bone Creek, cross the valley and climb up through Tara Slot onto Tara Point. More amazing views. From here, move up to the ridge and re-connect with the vehicles. In doing so we take a step to create a more harmonious and inclusive society on the Central Coast and beyond. The 5 Lands Walk is a day-long festival held on the Saturday closest to the winter solstice when the whales, a significant totem of the Darkinjung people, are migrating north, along 10 km of spectacular coastline. In 2006 we were inspired by Italy's Cinque Terra, but we created our own uniquely Australian event, a collaboration between the Aboriginal and broader communities, to connect people to people and people to place. We've been improving it every year since. 2021 will see many old favourites plus some new features and events. Roughly 22 000 people are estimated to join us this year, so be prepared to be inspired.

It consists of a walking/bike track beside the Mittagong Rivulet and 526 cherry trees that have been planted, dedicated to each and every soldier who died during the Vietnam War. Incorporated into the design of the War Memorial has been a monument, inscribed with the names of the Australians who gave their lives in the service of their country. Not quite the Jacaranda walk, but there are many shades of pink apart from the pink Crepe Myrtle lined streets.  We walk from Canterbury Station to Ashfield, where we will go to to the Leagues Club for Yum Cha. If you prefer, the Club also has a cafe and bistro for western food. If you prefer a picnic lunch, you can go to Allman Park instead. Walk will be cut short if it is a hot day.  Points of interests: Canterbury Park Race Course, Canterbury Park, Gough Reserve, Yeo Park, Trinity Grammar School of which I have an affinity for, Peace Park, Peace Park Viewing Tower, beautiful old houses. There is a coffee shop at the start and for morning tea (V, GF).
