Participants must be competent swimmers and be able to handle scrambling and exposure. Helmets and wet suits are essential. Lilo is recommended. About 6 km. Partly exploratory.

Starting at Frenchs Forest this walk takes bush tracks to follow Manly Creek as it cascades steeply down to Manly Dam. From the shores of the dam it climbs up to Balgowlah North. A few suburban streets lead to the headwaters of Burnt Bridge Creek where it picks up the shared bicycle paths along this hidden gem. Finish at Balgowlah. Steps, creek crossings, slippery when wet.

The walk can be steep in sections so ideally some average fitness will assist - however we are going to be taking it very slow! This walk will be ideal for people a bit worried to take on a steep or group walk because of their fitness. We are going to take it very slow, stopping often and taking it very easy so we all enjoy the walk without fear of being too slow or too unfit. There is some minor rock hopping and stairs so you will need some basic mobility and flexibility. Mud, snakes, ladders, cliffs.

Anyone coming on this trip must be able to swim as there is 3 short swims, the longest of which is about 50 metres. Also a wetsuit is mandatory as the water temperature is brisk to say the least. Some walkers may also prefer to bring a flotation device for the last and longest swim. Slippery rocks and cold water.

There are a couple of short deep pools, so bring your dry bags and also, if you wish, some change. Park at GR 511 862 on Bells Line of Road and make our way down into Dalpura Creek. Follow it through the canyon section. Climb out to the north-west and visit the Jinki Ridge, then descend back and climb out to the south-east and walk to Dalpura Head. Make our way back to the cars. Some exposure and scrambling.

We follow  the coastline south from Greenhills beach, Wanda Surf Lifesaving Club to Bass and Flinders Point, where the Hacking River meets the Tasman Sea. The pathway passes stunning beaches, rock pools, parks, playgrounds, cafes and period houses interspersed with lavish new homes and apartments overlooking the water. watch nippers and lifesavers train and enjoy a dip at one of the many beaches along the walk. Optional lunch at the RSL. The footsteps on this walk have echoed since the early 1900s when Cronulla Beach was the place for Sydneysiders to holiday, and it remains a popular and social walk. Swimming opportunity.

Walking from Otford to Bundeena via Burning Palms Beach, Garie Beach, Eagle Rock, Curracurrang, Wattamolla. Some exposed sections, the track is fairly tough, following the coast up and over many headlands, some of which are a steep climb. Carry plenty of water, snacks, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Walk is planned to finish at Bundeena at approx. 4:30pm, in time for the 5pm ferry from Bundeena to Cronulla. Please bring some small change and Senior’s Card, where applicable, for the 'private' ferry (they don't accept Opal Card).
