For our Alphabet series, ‘X’ is for Xacuti. Join us to celebrate our multicultural heritage walks with authentic Indian cooking at Harris Park. We start from Kissing Point wharf, go along the cycleway alongside Parramatta River, looking out for native birds at Baludarri Wetlands, stopping briefly at the historical Hambledon Cottage before reaching our destination for our shared group lunch ($20). Parramatta signifies Sydney’s urban buzzy renewal so food streets like this won’t last. Return is by train. If eating, please confirm and email culinary/dietary preference. Limit: 15.

Most people have walked the famous Grand Canyon in the daytime, but have you ever experienced it at night?
Why would you want to do this you may well ask! Well, for starter,s you'll see an incredible display of glowworms that make the Glowworm Tunnel pale into insignificance. If lucky, you may also see glider possums, frogs, crayfish, bats and other denizens of the night. The one thing you won't see is the usual crowds that frequent the Grand Canyon in the daytime. Last time I did this walk we only encountered a couple of people. Bring a torch. Location: Blue Mountains National Park Map: Katoomba 89301S Limit: 20.

(NEW!!!) A walk in the upper reaches of the Grose River which will probably surprise you with its diversity including some truly outstanding examples of pagodas and overhang caves. There should also be quite a few late flowering flowers out too. Expect about 50% off-track walking and some rock scrambling along the way, but nothing too demanding. People booking this will have preference for the night walk I'm planning later on in the evening after dinner. Location: Blue Mountains National Park Map: mt.wilson Limit: 12.
