A six night full pack walk involving Daveys Hut, Kidmans Hut, and Mawsons Hut. Exact details will be determined by weather and other factors. We camp near these huts but not in them so everyone needs to be fully equipped for the variety of conditions in the area. We stay at ski lodge in Jindabyne for a night on either side of the walk with our regular BBQ overlooking the lake. Always a pleasure walking in Kosciuszko area and this will feature some great scenery and bush in an area new to the leader. Location: Kosciuszko NP Limit: 15. View

Booking opens 2 weeks prior to event.  Walk from Cheltenham Railway Station to Eastwood Railway Station via the Lane Cove National Park. Follow fire trail along Devlins Creek to the junction of the Great North Walk (GNW). Follow GNW until we come to the turnoff to the Terrys Creek Track. Follow this track through various parks to Terrys Creek falls and on to Vimiera Park. Road walk to Eastwood Railway Station. Possible sighting of flannel flowers and other flowers in bloom during this walk. Rough and slippery track in a few spots. Creek crossings. View

Combining management tracks, walking trails & open cross country we will walk through an interesting blend of Sydney Basin & Tableland flora & also walk along a rarely visited section of the Wingecarribee River. If there are sufficient resources available, there may be an optional detour for some of the walkers that will involve an additional climb followed by a short but steep descent. LEADER: Philip Wright Start with a coffee at the famous German bakery,  Then walk to Wentworth Falls lake. The circuit around the lake shows you the serene beauty of the lake. Admire the water birds, sculptures and the flora...Maples, tea trees, grevillea ( specific to this area), isopogan, sun Orchid, wild strawberries, tree ferns, and of course Waratahs and rhododendrons flowering in October. There are more species unknown to the leader. Botanists  are invited to join the walk to enrich our knowledge. If you are lucky, you will see redbellied snakes. On return to the station, you can treat yourself with the famous pastries at the German bakery. View

Leader: Lynne Hewitt. Join us for a tour to this idyllic island just a hop, skip and a jump from Hawkesbury River Station, Brooklyn. Upon arrival on this car-free oasis of bush, beach and tranquillity, we will be welcomed by tree-lined palms and jacarandas. On the lower grounds we'll walk past the Bowling Club and Bradleys Beach. On the higher grounds we'll get great views of the Hawkesbury River. We'll also walk past a Blackbutt – Rough-barked Apple Forest. Enjoy the scenic train ride across the Hawkesbury River and a joy ferry ride to the island. Enjoy lunch or Devonshire tea at Dangar Island Depot before taking the ferry back home. Bring money for ferry ($8.50 one way adult, $4.30 one way concession (not sure seniors are considered concession)). Limit: 15. View

One of the Blue Mountains classic walks is now back on the agenda with the opening of the newly upgraded Horse Track. On this hike you can expect to see waratahs flowering along with many other blossoms, and for those who are stoic enough, there's plenty of swimming opportunities along the Grose River. Fitzroy Falls West Rim and East Rim Tracks provide spectacular views of the main falls, Twin Falls, the Grotto and the valley between the two tracks.  The vegetation is very different on each of the tracks. Join us to celebrate our multicultural heritage walks with authentic Indian cooking at Harris Park. We start from Kissing Point wharf, go along the cycleway alongside Parramatta River, looking out for native birds at Baludarri Wetlands, stopping briefly at the historical Hambledon Cottage before reaching our destination for our shared group lunch ($20). Parramatta signifies Sydney’s urban buzzy renewal so food streets like this won’t last. Return is by train. If eating, please confirm and email culinary/dietary preference. Limit: 15. View

The walk begins at Manning Lookout near Fitzroy Falls.  Here there are great views over Kangaroo Valley.  The walk then follows the escarpment past several view points and along a fence line across a couple of small creeks to Crystal Pool.  The water leaves the pool to fall over the escarpment into the valley below.  Return by the same route. Indistinct and easily lost track, rough track, fallen trees, slippery rocks and unfenced cliff edges Location: Morton NP (Fitzroy) Limit: 20. View
