Hazards: Rough track and some steep sections both up and down.

From Wog Wog campsite we walk along tracks past the amazing Corang Arch, Profile Hill Rock and onto Burrumbeet Brook where a comfortable camp cave awaits us. Then on day 2 we will do a day walk to Mt Cole, 7 Gods pinnacles and the Monolith Valley. On day 3 we will return to Wog Wog via Burrumbeet Brook and the Corang Walking Track. Regrowth on the route.

The original inhabitants of the Canoelands area were the Darug people. The Darug were the custodians of the majority of what is now the Greater Sydney region. They were divided into a number of different 'clans', whose quick demise upon European settlement has sadly resulted in very little information remaining on how they utilised the local area. On the way back explore the new track along the coast back to Pretty. Some uphill and down, along rock platforms, up and down constructed steps, short section on the Pebbly Road. The walk is long but pace will be steady with plenty of time to enjoy the coast on the way back. Whole day walk. Should be back at cars around 4:30 pm.

From there we walk around Gore Cove to Berry Island Reserve. Thence to Waverton Station for the train home. Booking essential with your NPA, phone and emergency contact numbers (unless I already have them). Some street walking, creek crossings and a tunnel under River Road, so bring a torch. Muddy and slippery after rain and one long staircase at Waverton.

Starting at Pierces pass, we follow the walking track through dense vegetation past Fairy Grotto, continuing down until we reach the river crossing. From here it’s a fairly open track beside the gorgeous Grose river to Blue Gum Forest. Return via the same route. Mountain Devils are flowering and the bush on this descent is simply delightful. Joint walk with the Bushclub. Muddy in parts, can be slippery when wet. Plenty of steps.

We walk up Devines Hill on the well preserved Old Great North Road and then return via Finches Line, with its spectacular views over the Hawkesbury River and Wisemans Ferry. Though a solid climb, it is quite pleasant with the current cooler temperatures. Leader will arrange car-pooling. It is essential to book giving your NPA, mobile emergency contact numbers and whether you are driving or a passenger, please. There are roadworks on the road at the bottom due to landslides and slumping. The descent on Finches line is fairly steep and rough. Some road walking.

We will follow this track through Sydney Olympic Park where we will climb various viewing towers, view remains of shipwrecks and the waterbird refuge before climbing the Big Marker for a view of the surrounding area. As we head for our Olympic Park Station destination, we will visit the site of the former brickworks. There will be some street walking but the majority of the walk will be on paved paths and tracks.

Taking in views at Fortress Ridge Rock Lookout, then down the track to Dr Darkes Cave for morning tea. Going past the cave to the cliff side lookout before returning back to the cave. Turn off the track to the cave for a short off-track section to Fortress Ridge Track. Continue on this track and taking the side track down to Fortress Creek. Return back to Fortress Ridge Track. Lunch spot somewhere with views from the Fortress Ridge track. Return to cars at Mt Hay Road along track. Hazards include slippery rocks and loose rocks. Off-track section is 400m with 100m elevation gain and is where loose rocks will be encountered. Grade 4 due to this section of walk, otherwise would be grade 3.
