Coffee is available there from the machine. Stop for morning tea. Continue to St Ives Showground where Tree Tops is situated, a challenging climbing area for all ages, view other venues and have our packed lunch. Return to the WFG. This is a Xmas walk organised by Bob Rankin and Esther. Join us to celebrate Steve's birthday as well. A walk in Green Square/Zetland/Waterloo area. See the multimillion dollars terraces, jungles of apartments as well as the low cost housing. Discover the Drying Green, The Green Square Library( Queen Camilla visited on 22/10/24), The glamorous Waterloo metro station) The Waterloo Library, The Waterloo Community Garden, various reserves, witness the good work of OzHarvest. See Tony Abbott’s marriage mural. After the walk, lunch will be at a private rooftop garden with a small pool. This walk takes in some of the most stunning sections of Kangaroo creek downstream of Karloo pools where there is a ton of inviting swimming pools to keep you cool when the Summer sun is beating down. I plan to stop and have a swim in many of these along the way down this pristine watercourse. The walk out of Kangaroo creek is via a shady forested ridge track back to Heathcote station. (Leader Changed) Bundanoon Creek offers some spectacular cliff faces. From Tallowa Dam Picnic area we head NE up Lake Yarrunga (Kangaroo River) for 2.5km then head north into Bundanoon Creek for 4.5km to the head waters. On the return, we will take a short 2km detour up Sandy Creek before heading back to the start.

Coffee to finish: probably the best option is to hop on a bus on Old Northern Road and go to Castle Towers or The Grove at Baulkham Hills.

(Updated Details) Well, it's that time of year again when all keen walkers head down to the Kosciuszko National Park to explore, engage with nature and experience the beauty of the region and the superb walks that the high country has to offer.

The Alpine flowers should be at their peak at this time of year, and the fresh air is most invigorating! Also, there is a new major track to check out and much, much more.
As in previous years, we will stay at Charlottes Pass in a very comfortable abode, The Southern Alps ski lodge, and from this centrally located residence, we will venture out on day walks. This lodge is totally DIY and rooms are twin-share with larger rooms accommodating up to 4 people.i can accommodate a couple of single people but theres a single supplement.Regarding sharing I'll arrange rooms with a woman sharing with another woman and visa versa! When the heat of summer is upon us, where do you head? To a Blue Mountains canyon to cool off and revive body and soul! On this trip we will experience not 1 but 3 canyons with Du Faur Canyon being the main course. The equally spectacular, but much shorter October Creek being the entree, and the Joes Canyon the dessert for what promises to be a superb day swimming, paddling and savouring these amazingly beautiful locations. I can promise you an amazing aquatic time! You'll need a helmet, wetsuit and I recommend a flotation device such as a surfmat, and life jacket as there are some longish swims involved. (Date Changed) From the camp ground at Beehive Point we will head up Yarrunga Creek for 4 kms to the head of waters. On the way we will view the magnificient stone walls of the original road from Kangaroo Valley to Mossvale. See the old road disappear into the waters of Lake Yarrunga and reappear further upstream. On return to Beehive point we can optionally poke around the numerous inlets for some bonus paddles.
