Add hot showers and good amenities and it all adds up to a fantastic time in the bush. Also, there should be a good display of wildflowers to enjoy.

We will walk from Parramatta to Shoalhaven Heads in sections. This week we walk from Drummoyne to Darling Harbour along the Parramatta River. Attractions: King George Park, Paringa Reserve, Elkington Park, Miklouho-Maclay Park, Brownlee Reserve, Thornton Reserve, Anzac Bridge, Gipa Park, Pirrama Park, Pyrmont Bay Park, Australian National Maritime Museum. We finish at Darling Harbour where you can explore/shop/dine. I'll be having lunch at Mamak...authentic Malay food. They have a special lunch menu: $12.80 between 12 to 3 pm. This is Part 1 of a 60 km, four-day walk, circling Sydney Harbour with the Sydney Harbour and Gladesville Bridges as its eastern and western points. This is a magnificent walk focusing on the Harbour itself – the expanse of water, the bridges, islands, urban bushland and city skyline. The route winds along parts of the foreshore, into bays and on to headlands, through bush, along historic streets and over grand bridges. Part 1 starts from Circular Quay and finishes at Greenwich Wharf. Due to Covid, we'll avoid the walk across the Harbour Bridge and take a ferry from Circular Quay to Milsons Point to start walk.
