Descending into Kedumba Valley from the locked gate we will stride out on the Cedarland Fire trail close to the forbidden zone. We then scramble up onto the Korrowall Ridge and along the 4 km dangerously exposed ridge onto Mt Solitary. The route back may be via the East Col track or by Miners Pass if time and stamina allow. Scrambling and exposure.

This walk is a great one-way trip from station to station with numerous water views, including a circumnavigation of Brooklyn Dam whilst enjoying a wonderful diversity of flora along the way.

Hear how they amazingly achieved the mapping and coordination of a new walk through Sydney called The Great West Walk. Great North and South Walks Did you know that Garry McDougall created The Great North Walk along with Leigh Shearer Heriot? They put 7 years into finding, mapping and promoting the Great North Walk to local councils. The walk idea was initiated by Leigh's desire to walk the length of the Lane Cove river valley. Garry liked the idea and thought, why not go all the way to Newcastle? Garry is now working on a Great South Walk from Sydney to Canberra. Another reason to seek him out at 7pm Tuesday night, 19th November at Redfern Town Hall Small Hall on the top floor. View

It's December and beautiful waterholes so bring your cossies 🙂 Well formed tracks/fire trails. One steep section of track. Some clambering down sandstone near swimming holes.

The walk will extend towards Stony Creek at Kings Point so this is a fairly untrodden path for Wednesday walkers. Something in it for everyone! Good shade if the weather is hot. Coffee afterwards.
