Led by local paddler John Thorn; organised by Helen Moody. Joint activity with Illawarra Ramblers. Based at camp site. Day paddles 21/9 to 27/9, plus rest day. Travel days 20/9 & 28/9. These paddling events are very popular and book out quickly. Expressions of interest to Helen by email. M​ake own accommodation arrangements. Campsite will require a non-refundable deposit of one night’s accommodation. Experienced paddlers with sit in kayaks only. Spray skirts compulsory on open water at leader’s discretion. Follow track to enter Monolith Valley via Nibelung Pass. Chain ascent to explore the valley – Natural Arch, Green Room and lunch at Seven Gods Pinnacles with spectacular views. Return same route.

Return to Hwy along Blackbutt Road, then into Lemon Tree Road and various tracks in the Termeil State Forest before returning to the car park. Contact leader essential.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longA walk through local trails on both private and public bushland and skirting up from Little Valley Way to the base of Pointer Mountain through a variety of vegetation types, including Mallee Gum trees, heath plants and sedges. Keep your eyes out along the way for local kangaroos, wallabies and an array of bird life, such as honeyeaters, wrens and colourful parrots. The walk comprises both well-formed tracks and trails as well as some lesser used old trails. It is suggested that you wear long pants. There are a few water crossings, especially in wet conditions.

Camp | An activity that involves an overnight stay, usually in a tent.Paddle | A canoe or kayak trip(Nearly fully booked) Paddling the full length (200km) of the Edwards River. The Edwards is an annabranch of the Murray starting at Picnic Point and rejoining the Murray 60km downstream of Swan Hill. Camping out of the kayaks/canoes. The pace is easy but paddlers need to be able to pack and camp out of their kayaks for up to 5 days and there will be number of weirs to portage and snags in the river. PFDs compulsory.
