Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longOld Argyle Road. This is a circuit walk along Old Argyle Road into Penrose State Forest. Circle back through the forest crossing the upper reaches of Paddy's River to return to Old Argyle Road. Rough track, deep creek crossings need sandals, crocs etc.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFlying Fox accessed by a fire trail has the remains of the flying fox used to bring timber up from the valley. The walk then returns to the Cooks Nose Lookout a wonderful lunch spot. On the edge of the escarpment there are spectacular views. Rough track often wet, muddy and slippery, unfenced lookout.

Leaving the fire trail there are a couple of steep gullies to negotiate before joining an old fire trail and then a bush track leading to the escarpment. Wild flowers are prolific and the view spectacular. Steep rough track slippery creek crossing, fallen trees, unfenced cliff edges.

Then two wonderful days to chill out at the best bush campsite in the Blue Mountains with nice side trips. The final day is a walk back up the hill to the cars (sigh!). A "resort" but still a solid full pack walk to get there and back. Mostly off-track walking.

Fully paved with plenty of steps, coffee stops, public amenities and a touch of Sydney’s history. No creek crossings, snakes or bunyips. Return from Circular Quay Station to catch 4.01pm train from Central. Paved paths, steps, coffee shops.
