 From Kembla Lookout, we'll make our way up the rocky, steep at times, but reasonably well formed track. After 1.7km we'll reach the plateau atop Mount Kembla and 180m above the car park. There are a number of excellent lookouts over the Illawarra Region (weather permitting :)) for a lunch break.
We'll return down the track and then follow the ring track to traverse Mount Kembla escarpment through rainforest, and historic mining sites. We'll take a short afternoon tea break with an optional detour to a historic mine site. Hazards: Some steep steps that will be a bit slippery in the wet. Unfenced cliff edges at lookouts.
