The walk commences at the top of Saddleback Mountain and descends steeply before ascending to Hoddles Track.  The track leads along the cliff face and ascends up to enter Barron Grounds.  The lunch spot provides beautiful views down to the coast. Hazards: Rough track, very steep descents and ascents, slippery rocks and unfenced cliff edges.

Commencing at the Glow Worm Glen car park the path winds through forest with a couple of little creek crossings.  Continue on the track to the left of the Glow Worm Glen steps which winds along to Buchanan's Lookout.  Optional opportunity to continue to Ellsmore Lookout.  Enjoy the beautiful view while having lunch and return by the same route. Hazards: Rough track, slippery rocks, unfenced cliff edges.

An undulating walk with great coastal views. Walking in a northerly direction provides best train options - arrangements to be confirmed closer to the date. Part of the Great South Coast Walk  (http://greatsouthcoastwalk.net/) a long-distance walking route along the southern coastline of New South Wales, from Bundeena on the southern fringe of Sydney, to Mallacoota, just over the border in Victoria, 660km in total. Limit: 12. View

From the end of Jack's Corner Road follow Griffins Fire Trail to a track to the left.  Follow this through the forest to a steep descent to the main dirt road leading to Beehive Point on Lake Yarrunga.  This is a lovely picnic area and chance for a swim.  Return by the main dirt road. Hazards: Rough track and some steep sections both up and down.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longCanoelands Ridge walking track is a beautiful day walk.  See scenic Hawkesbury River views and native wildflowers along the way on this long hike. The original inhabitants of the Canoelands area were the Darug people. The Darug were the custodians of the majority of what is now the Greater Sydney region. They were divided into a number of different 'clans', whose quick demise upon European settlement has sadly resulted in very little information remaining on how they utilised the local area. The walk follows the Budderoo Fire Trail for 6kms to a locked gate on the right.  Through the gate is a relatively unused fire trail which deteriorates to a single track leading to Gerringong Creek.  Follow the creek along to the falls. Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFirst time friendly | A trip that is perfect for most new members (assuming you have a reasonable level of fitness)Photography | A trip that has a strong focus on encouraging people to capture photographs.Public Transport | There are public transport options to and from this activity.Camellia Gardens Located in Caringbah and overlooking beautiful Yowie Bay, the Gardens were recognised by the International Camellia Society as a Camellia Gardens of Excellence in 2014.  There are sixty Camellia Gardens of Excellence in the world, with the Camellia Gardens and Lisgar Gardens in Hornsby being the only two in NSW. The Gardens have over 400 cultivars and species donated and acquired since its first plantings began in 1969, in addition to many other rare ornamental and native plants. The collection is of unique value to Australian horticulture. The Gardens have something for all seasons. The camellias are in season during autumn and winter. Tea house serves delicious devonshire and lunches.   We will play by ear.  A walk at Woronora Cemetery can be added on.

Here we'll spend some time visiting the Chau Chak Wing Museum before continuing to Redfern Station via Carriageworks and The Block.

When you rsvp, please provide your full name, contact no,  email address and bedding configuration.  A few members from NPA did this walking tour of Kimberley last winter and the feedbacks were positive.  For your comfort level, I’’m quoting  the insight from Graham. “The walks are no problem for NPA grade 3 walkers. Lots of river stone/rock walking cause they are mostly in gorges. Not long walks. 30 to 34 Deg every day. Down to 10-12 deg some nights so camping gets cool. Campfires. Coolest nights July.
