Spring is orchid time. Sylvan Grove Native Garden has such an array of Rock Orchids. They are majestic flowers to admire. https://www.cbcity.nsw.gov.au/environment/parks-reserves/sylvan-grove-native-garden It has mulched paths winding through rainforest areas and areas with more sun, so there is a diversity of plants. It also has many ferns and rainforest plants that like a shady spot, and other plants like prostantheras and plectranthus that flower well in shade.

The West and East Rim tracks, which both start from the Fitzroy Falls visitor centre, offer 2 quite different vegetation types. As it's Spring time I think we can expect wonderful displays of the various flowering natives as we walk, and enjoy the many lookouts which both rim track can offer. Needless to say the views are incredible and I plan to see as much of this area as possible. I plan to do the West rim track before lunch and the shorter East rim track after our meal break with afternoon tea at the Burrow cafe situated at the visitor centre. slippery track in sections Location: Morton national park Limit: 20.

(Nearly fully booked) The Suspended Barbican is a large mass of fractured rock “suspended” from dramatic cliff lines and protects remnant rainforest within a deep chasm.
The Bushexplorers describe it as one of the top 10 walks in NSW - we will traverse a spectacular cliff line, descend, make our way through the hidden world and return up through the aptly named Ultimate Chute. It's certainly one of the great walks of stunning Mugii Murum-ban.
Expect great vistas, pagoda climbing, a hidden cave, and giant rock formations to squeeze through.
Very steep off-track ascents and descents. A long day with an early start requiring climbing the (in)famous Genowlan Fire trail, although we could drive up depending on the number of AWD/4WD vehicles in the group - TBC Location: Mugii Murum-ban SCA Map: Glen Alice 89314N Limit: 12.
