From here it’s a fairly open track beside the gorgeous Grose river to Blue Gum Forest. Return via the same route. Mountain Devils are flowering and the bush on this descent is simply delightful. Joint walk with the Bushclub. Muddy in parts, can be slippery when wet. Plenty of steps.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFully Vaccinated | All participants must be able to show proof they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to particpate.Photography | A trip that has a strong focus on encouraging people to capture photographs. This is a great walk on tracks that themselves have been declared "World Heritage", because of their convict origins. We walk up Devines Hill on the well preserved Old Great North Road and then return via Finches Line, with its spectacular views over the Hawkesbury River and Wisemans Ferry. Though a solid climb, it is quite pleasant with the current cooler temperatures. Leader will arrange car-pooling. It is essential to book giving your NPA, mobile emergency contact numbers and whether you are driving or a passenger, please. There are roadworks on the road at the bottom due to landslides and slumping. The descent on Finches line is fairly steep and rough. Some road walking.
