This year, the weekend will be dedicated to the memory of our good friend Jim Romanowski. After last year’s weekend, Jim twice asked to make it an annual event, so here it is. Drive to Newnes on Friday afternoon, share accommodation in the comfy and fully equipped Newnes cabins, or stay in the five-star camping ground. Friday night, the famous ukes will be back for a sing-along out the front of the pub. Saturday, a range of walks will be offered with various grades and leaders, the Glowworm Tunnel with a small canyon will be one. Saturday night includes surprise entertainment on the grassed area outside the pub including a toast to Jim. Sunday morning sleep-in then walk to the top of Mystery Mountain for brunch, great views and pagoda exploring. For those interested, a walk around the ruins on Sunday afternoon is available. Cost is approximately $120 pp for both nights in a cabin or $50 for a campsite. Leftover money will be donated equally to The Shepherd Centre and The Colong Foundation. Walks grades 3 and 4. View

Continue for about 800 m, then turn south and traverse under cliffs till GR 717 952. Continue up the gully for a short distance, then traverse above the cliffs to the first gully to the east. From here, walk back to the trail, visiting Dog Rock along the way. About 6 km. Scrambling and exposure. Mostly exploratory.

There’ll be stairs to the Argyle Cut and at Kirribilli, but this walk will keep them to a minimum. Stairs, steps and heights.

Today’s walk is a 7 km (14 km return) walk exploring one of the best remaining examples of the once extensive Cumberland Plain Woodland. There are a couple of short deep pools, so bring your dry bags and also, if you wish, some change. Park at GR 511 862 on Bells Line of Road and make our way down into Dalpura Creek. Follow it through the canyon section. Climb out to the north west and visit the Jinki Ridge, then descend back and climb out to the south east and walk to Dalpura Head. Make our way back to the cars. Some exposure and scrambling. About 6km.

This walk will take in some of the Buddawangs most spectacular walking routes and features and will be a walk you won't want to miss out on! Starting from Wog Wog campground we make our way past the following scenic locations - Mt Corang, Corang Arch, Burrumbeet Brook, Mt Tarn, Mt Haughton, Styles Creek, Hidden Valley, The Vines, and the Endrick river, to name a few! Hidden in these locations are comfortable camp caves, stunning grassy campsites, pristine watercourses and indigenous art sites, all worth exploring. I lead this walk 4 years ago and it proved enormously popular and I think once we are able to regain our freedom again, after all the lockdowns, this trip will be just the ticket to refresh the senses! Might be some overgrown tracks to be encountered.

Good Friday Sydney Olympic Park is an urban oasis for both wildlife and people. It connects us with nature, and with ourselves, through beautiful landscapes and inspiring encounters with wildlife. Bicentennial Park gives you glimpses of a creek and mangrove habitat as well as a quiet wetland area followed by the lovely Belvedere Lake with its central fountain feature. There is a wonderful opportunity for a view of surrounding scenery in the form of the treillage tower - a metal structure that gives you access to a 17 metre high viewing platform from which you can see some other areas of Bicentennial Park as well as the wider surrounds including the views of the city. Hazards:  Rough track, fallen trees and unfenced cliffs.

Steep and slippery sections, creek crossings and going down several sturdy steel ladders.

This time a change! We aim to leave on 20 Apr but will pick the actual start date after we see the weather forecast. You need to be available in case a slightly later start date is chosen. We have one night on Round Mountain fire trail, then two lovely nights at both Pretty Plain and then Wheelers Huts. A lovely walk to do with the usual great scenery and the usual lovely Koscie bushland and flowers.

A casual, scenic ride around bays, rivers and canals. Cycle from Wolli Creek Railway Station to Stanmore, Whites Creek Canal, Rozelle, Birkenhead Point, The Bay Run, Canada Bay, then Cabarita for picnic lunch (BYO). Coffee stops along the way. Many cycle paths and cycle lanes along quiet roads with some undulations. Must be confident riding on roads. Return to Wolli Creek Rail approx. 4:00pm, via Canals and a Greenway. Park one car at Airly Gap and drive another one to GR 215 306 on Glen Davis Road. From the second car, ascend a ridge to the north, visiting The Fort, and continue to the end of a promontory at around GR 213 330. Descend underneath the cliff line and follow it around via Torbane Blade till about GR 219 338, then make our way up above the cliffs and eventually to the top of Mount Airly. Use Airly Connector Slot to connect to the first car. About 10 km. Scrambling and exposure.

From Lake Couridjah car park we will head along Slades Rd and left into Dry Lakes Rd and follow this fire trail to the boundary of the NP. After backtracking a short distance we then traverse a new track through to Radcliffs lookout for lunch. After lunch it's a short backtrack to pick up a track down through a glen to the ruins of a farm house and then on to Lake Werri Berri. From there we make our way back to the cars. Hazards: Some rough track and unfenced cliffs.

Walk on the trail till GR 762 973 and descend north west under the cliffs, then traverse underneath the cliffs to GR 763 983. Climb to the top and walk south till GR 760 971, then descend into a south-west trending gully, all the way down to a bigger creek. Visit Claw Cave. Ascend another gully, trending south east, back to Brendon Trail and walk to the vehicles. About 8 km. Scrambling and exposure. Partly exploratory.
