Part 2 is  Davidson Park to the Sphinx: These are some of the nicest sections, along Middle Harbour and Middle Harbour Creek (Garigal NP) Early exit available at the Sphinx before we walked down to Bobbin Heads.   View

Park on Danes Way, Mount Wilson and walk/scramble down to the exit of Wollangambe 5 at around GR 628 924. Walk/swim/boulder/scramble down the gorge for as long as the time and energy allow. Find an exit (a number of potential spots have been identified) and re-connect with the vehicles. Bring helmet (mandatory) and dry bags. Wet suit strongly recommended. Lilo optional. Must be able to swim well. Exploratory. Scrambling and exposure. About 10 km.

This remote area first aid course is specifically designed to meet the first aid needs of bushwalkers, wilderness guides, and people who work or live in remote locations. The course covers everything from comprehensive first aid treatments to aeromedical evacuation, long-term care, self-care, and contingency planning. This course is focused on the safety of the first aider and extended care of an ill or injured casualty where help is likely to be delayed or inaccessible. Easy circuit visiting many huts and some optional hills/mountains.
Day 1: After arranging placement of car at walk finish, we walk from Pretty Valley Pondage to Tawonga Hut: 4.5km plus optional side trip to Mt Jaithmathang - excellent views.
Day 2:Tawonga Hut to Ryders Yards Hut via aqueduct 6km + optional side trips to Mt Jim, Young Hut, High Plains Ck falls.
Day 3: Ryders Yards hut to Fitzgerald Hut via Cope Saddle hut, Cope Hut, Wallace Hut. 16km but flat.
Day 4:either stay at Fitzgerald hut or do several side trips including Johnston Hut, Mt Nelse & Nelse north, Edmundson Hut, Spion Kopje summit, Kelly Hut, perhaps Ropers Hut.
Day 5: exit via Heathy spur and back to cars, 7.5km
Interested people must contact leader regarding important travel issues. All participants must be up-to-date with vaccinations (at least 3 jabs) / no medical exemptions allowed. Please indicate your status when booking on the walk and carry proof on the walk. Distances and ascents: variable depending on optional side trips. Relaxed pace. Expressions of interest sought.

Descend to the north east into Bowen Hill Creek, then traverse above the creek and/or walk in the creek upstream, exploring for caves and other features. Continue south as far as the time and energy allows, then climb back on the ridge and walk to the start. Partly exploratory. About 10 km. Scrambling and exposure.

Hazards: Rough track often wet, muddy and slippery, unfenced lookout.

A beautiful campsite on a high knoll surrounded by snowgums and overlooking the mountain and large snow plain.
Day 1-Walk in and establish camp.
Day 2-Climb Jagungal with daypacks only. (Luxury).
Day 3-Walk back to cars at Round Mt. FT gate.
This is a wilderness area and numbers will be limited. Pls phone if unknown to leader.

Attempt to find exit to Blue Mountain trail from creek (steep section). Return via existing tracks to start at North Lawson Park. The Kent St fire trail will be followed to its end and then a way found to the creek if it ends before then. At the creek either a way down stream will be found or the shorter creek passage towards Empire Pass track will be used. This is an exploratory walk to find condition of the creek and an exit from it to the Blue Mountains track. Worst case is a return back to Kent St fire trail. Section 4 is Berowra to Cowan. This  point-to-point trail starts from Berowra Station.Generally considered a challenging route. This trail is great for birding, camping, and hiking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Co-Leader Jenny Fisher.  We will enjoy this lovely summer walk along Kangaroo Creek's rock pools, with ample time for photos & an opportunity for a swim. There is approx. 4 kms of off-track walking with some scrambling, rock hopping, creek crossings & rock platform walking, more challenging than previously due to recent flood water damage.  This is a remembrance walk, one of the Jim series. One big climb after lunch, otherwise this is a beautiful walk.  Limited numbers. Off-track sections, rock hopping and some scrambling, 6 fairly straight forward creek crossings. A 190m, solid climb out after lunch.

Those from Sydney take South Coast train departing Central 07:29, Wollongong station change to bus No. 57 towards Shellharbour – request driver to stop north side of Windang bridge – arriving about 09:45. Walk starts at Windang bridge and finishes at Shellharbour Junction station. Part of the Great South Coast Walk  (http://greatsouthcoastwalk.net/) a long-distance walking route along the southern coastline of New South Wales, from Bundeena on the southern fringe of Sydney, to Mallacoota, just over the border in Victoria, 660km in total. Limit: 15. View

It follows bush tracks, paths and roads. From water level below Clive Park, Northbridge the route reaches water level again at Tunks Park; it follows Flat Rock creek up to Naremburn and crosses the watershed at St Leonards, descending once again to water level at Gore Cove Reserve, Wollstonecraft. Finally it crosses the Greenwich peninsula, finishing at the ferry wharf. Steps, bush tracks may be slippery if wet, creek crossings.

Walk/swim/boulder/scramble down the gorge to the planned exit point at GR 629 925. Climb out and reconnect with the vehicles. Bring helmet (mandatory) and dry bags. Wet suit strongly recommended. At this time of the year, it is a wildflowers lover's paradise... Boronia, Grevillea, Tea Tree, Rice flowers, Pea flowers, just to name a few. Some rock scrambling and steep sections. Limit: 12. The swell on the day will define how far we can travel along the rocky shoreline, but we will anyway have to pay close attention to the prevailing local conditions as we scramble over sometimes slippery boulders and possibly up a steepish cliff section.
