(Fully Booked) Starting from Buxton Ave on the edge of Nattai NP, we follow a short distance on fire trails to pick up a track that leads us down to the Blue Forest in Thirlmere Lakes NP. Generally downhill with a total descent of 200m. Car shuffle required.

Walk down through beautiful rainforest near to the southern entrance to the Helensburgh railway tunnel. On via well walked tracks through some stands of massive old growth trees. Staying on the western side of the Hacking River with some up and down and easy creek crossings. A steadier track back up to the station on via the northern end of the railway tunnel. Limit: 15. We start at the Kangaroo Valley Pioneer Village Museum. Entry to the museum is at a cost Adults $10, Seniors $5. We cross a suspension bridge & then there is a 90 minute marked bush walking track. We will see scribbly-ghost gums, many species of native trees & plants. We could see wildlife such as echidnas, lizards, wombats, kangaroos & wallabies. If time we can looks at exhibits. Starting and ending at Mt Kuring-gai, includes Apple Tree Creek and Bay. There is a section of off-track walking down to Apple Tree Creek and the creek itself has no track. The creek has a gorge and waterfall, a boulder field and clear bedrock sections. The creek mouth is in a tidal mangrove at the back of Apple Tree Bay. The reward for getting through the mangroves is the coffee shop is open at the boat ramp. The return to Mt Kuring-gai is by a track that follows an old water pipe from Apple Tree Bay to the maintained track from Mt Kuring-gai to Cowan Creek. This is a short walk about 4-5 Km with 220 m ascent. Hazards include slippery surfaces and rocks. Multiple creek crossings. High tide in mangroves. Drive or walk to GR 332 088 on Blackfellows Hand Trail. Walk north through the magnificent Temple of Doom and then continue exploring the pagodas on the east side of the ridge, heading north. Arrive at the high cliffs above Wolgan Valley and then walk to Lost Arc Point. After enjoying the stunning views, proceed under the cliffs and into Indiana Gorge. Check out the amazing Indiana Slot and the rest of this scenic hidden valley. Exit the gorge at the south end and make our way back to the cars. 8-12 km, depending on the road access. In this forth of the 3P challenge we'll combine walks 1 and 3 for this inspiring journey. Your love of a good climb and dramatic views will be required for this day walk. Starting at the Lockley Pylon trackhead, we follow the walking track to Du Faurs, desend on Shortridge Pass and cross Govetts creek. Continuing through Blue Gum Forest we then head up Perrys, before our return. We will enjoy the changing floral display, and colourful birdlife between walks. Joint walk with the Bushclub. Early Start for experienced walkers. Steep ascent and descent, scrambling, hard and rocky path. Mild exposure, creek crossing. They are majestic flowers to admire. https://www.cbcity.nsw.gov.au/environment/parks-reserves/sylvan-grove-native-garden It has mulched paths winding through rainforest areas and areas with more sun, so there is a diversity of plants. It also has many ferns and rainforest plants that like a shady spot, and other plants like prostantheras and plectranthus that flower well in shade.
