Grade:1/6 | Southern Sydney Branch | ||||
Brian E. | |||||
Many of you love our native trees. We love the shade they provide. We love the wildlife they harbour. We love their appearance within our streets, our suburbs and our communities. Yet so many are taken out without little thought and that could be devastating as our climate warms. Rhonda Daniels, a force within Australian Plant Society, is presenting to us about the importance of trees within our communities. Come and join her for this truly special event. We shouldn't have to take our shoes off. Wet rocks may be slippery near creeks. Sand on rocks is also slippery. Location: Blue Mountains National Park Map: Springwood Limit: 12. View |

This is a long, at times challenging walk through some of the best scenery the Gardens of Stone has to offer. First we must trudge through a kilometre or two of thick scrub, but our payoff is an extended cliff and pagoda top walk high above the eastern side of the Capertee Valley. On our way, we will see Jamison Pass, the Plain of Shards, Ngamperi Rock (the original Nipple Rock) and the Pondage Canyon. Time permitting, we can also drop in on Stargate Tunnel on our return.
