Alight Sunset Boulevard and White Cross Road at 9:13. Walk part of Shaw's Ridge Track, then steep down to Blue Gum Track. Grotto, lovely ferny track, then up to Springwood Ridge Track and St Columba School. Near Hawkesbury Road various track along Birdwood Gully and Springwood Creek to Springwood Station. Option for an exploratory side track (marked on All Trails but I haven't found it yet). Steep, rough, could be slippery whether wet or dry leaves.

Hazards: Rough track, unfenced cliff edges, very steep descent.

Starting at Balmoral Beach with its little jetty and huge fig trees; to Middle Head to explore fortifications and cliff top views beyond the Heads; then through angophora trees to Georges Heights and barracks converted to artist studios; and on to Clifton Gardens for lunch. Then we will walk beside secluded bays to the navy memorials at Bradley’s Head. Then it is a short walk to Taronga Zoo for a Ferry to Circular Quay and trains home. It all starts by boarding the first carriage of the SHL train at 7.14 am in Bowral and arriving in Wynyard at 9.45 then a bus or taxis to Balmoral beach. After coffee we shall start our walk at about 10:30 am. The walk is about 11kms. It takes about 4 hours and 45 mins including lunch and many stops along the way ( but not for cafes or a swim ). See what Arthur Streeton saw when he did some of his finest work. - See the lizards, lorikeets, wrens and bush turkeys. - Listen to the currawongs. Hear the waves, lapping at the shore. - Enter the fortifications where microbats now live. We aim to arrive at Taronga Zoo in time for connections to SHL train departing Central at 4pm. If all goes to plan you will be back at Bowral at 6pm.

Burramoko lookout is within NSW declared wilderness area, number in group limited to eight. Hazards include cliff edges and one section of steep descent.

We will visit houses from the late 1800s. The first stop is 26 Oxford Street, an old convent formerly known as St Bede’s Convent and High School Sisters of the Good Samaritan. We will then cross the road to 7 Oxford Street, a turn of the century, worker's semi-detached cottage. We will then take a short walk around the block to the historic Albemarle Street and visit the abode of folk artist and long-time resident and local legend Dianne Gallagher. Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFind out why this part of the Gardens of Stone must be better protected for the future generations. Park the vehicles at around GR 306 175 on the branch road off the Bicentennial National Trail. Follow the Great Dividing Range north to Gordian Knot and then to Witches Watch, a spectacular lookout above Hecates Cauldron. From here, descend into the Cauldron and explore it underneath the cliff lines and also above, amidst “the bubbles”. Visit the Tower of Hope and other features. Descend into the headwaters of Baal Bone Creek, cross the valley and climb up through Tara Slot onto Tara Point. More amazing views. From here, move up to the ridge and re-connect with the vehicles. Scrambling and exposure. About 10 km.

A minor but easy scramble to the rockshelf at Bannisters Heads can reveal seals and dolphins and a rarely seen perspective. Really – it’s amazing.
