A five day get away to Kiama on the South Coast, with walks planned for the surrounding areas, including Fitzroy Falls. We are staying in cabins and plan to explore different areas each day; some by train, so bring your Opal card. Booking essential. Creek crossings, flooded tracks, mud, steps and the usual trip hazards found on bush tracks.

Commencing at the Glow Worm Glen car park the path winds through forest with a couple of little creek crossings.  Continue on the track to the left of the Glow Worm Glen steps which winds along to Buchanan's Lookout.  Optional opportunity to continue to Ellsmore Lookout.  Enjoy the beautiful view while having lunch and return by the same route. Hazards: Rough track, slippery rocks, unfenced cliff edges.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(Fully Booked) McPhails Fire Trail is a downhill walk from the highlands into Kangaroo Valley.  The Pipeline Lookout is an excellent morning tea stop before descending through rainforest and around Mt Carrialoo into the valley. Hazards: Rough track, unfenced cliff edges, very steep descent.

Camp | An activity that involves an overnight stay, usually in a tent.Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longA steep climb to start, up Mt Durras, then walk across to Pebbly Beach (partly on the road) and stop for lunch. On the way back explore the new track along the coast back to Pretty. Some uphill and down, along rock platforms, up and down constructed steps, short section on the Pebbly Road. The walk is long but pace will be steady with plenty of time to swim on the way back. Option to camp at Pretty the night before. Whole day walk. Should be back in camp by 4:30 pm. Grade 3/4: Medium. Birdwood Gully Walk: Gorgeous by Day and Magical by night. It  is  a beautiful short round trip walk that showcases the rainforest environment on the valleys of the Blue Mountains. Very easy access, some steep steps, overhangs, footbridges over streams, lyre birds, ferns and amazing atmosphere.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(Fully Booked) We are repeating the Heritage Festival 2022 walking tour of Cooks River by Terry Lennis, a proud D'harawal man, local elder and Aboriginal horticulturalist. The recent history of this area is well documented, but this is an opportunity to hear the Indigenous perspective on the history and current uses of the rivers and waterways. Terry Lennis is one of the knowledge holders for the Midjuburi Ward and he will take you on a bush tucker foraging journey along one of the Inner West's special waterways. Passing through historical properties, then cross over on the punt. Return to the start over John Whitton Bridge. There are train stations along the way if you prefer a shorter ride or getting tired. Unfortunately, riding an e-bike on this trip will mean that you are not covered under NPA club insurance; Bushwalking Australia is working to see if it can be covered for future trips. Mostly on cycle paths, but some road crossings with vehicle traffic. Be aware of other track users, debris /damage/uneven path, and possible mechanical failures. Limit: 10. View

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longCanyon | A trip through a canyon (a gully surrounded by tall cliffs).This canyon is relatively dry (no swims) and reminds me of Wolgan view canyon in parts. It has some truly spectacular sections including the aptly named Acoustic Chamber which is an enormous overhang of sorts with wonderful aural properties! Expect off-track walking with lots of rock scrambling and an adventurous time as we explore and enjoy this special place. Rock scrambling and off-track walking.

This section of the walk winds along coastal bushland, taking in views of Camel Rock and Horsehead Rock, believed to be about 450 million years old. Follow the gully down to Blacksmiths Creek. Continue downstream to GR 757 038 or GR 761 036, if time allows. Climb back on the ridge and walk back to the start. Partly exploratory. About 10 km. Scrambling and exposure.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFully Vaccinated | All participants must be able to show proof they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to particpate.Photography | A trip that has a strong focus on encouraging people to capture photographs.Social | A trip where people will be encouraged to interact and chat with each other.Join me on one or more walks of this challenge of the 3Ps through winter, enjoying Blue Gum Forest from Lockley Pylon, Pierces Pass, and Perrys Lookdown. With some of the best views across the Grose valley, the first of our 3P challenge is an invigorating and rewarding walk. We will follow the Lockley Pylon walking track, through low lying heath to Lockley Pylon with magnificent views. Continuing to Du Faurs to descend into the valley on the steep and rocky terrain of Shortridge pass. We'll cross Govetts Creek into Blue Gum Forest for lunch before we commence the ascent and scramble back up Du Faurs on our return trip. Banksias are blooming and the wattle is about to pop. Lots to enjoy on this iconic walk. Joint walk with the Bushclub. Steep and rocky terrain, mild exposure, short scramble up the cliff line, relatively easy creek crossing.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longExpressions of interest sought.   From Wog Wog campsite, we will walk via Corong Arch to a camping cave for the night, then  with day packs head east to Monolith Valley and return to camp.  Next day return to Wog Wog for the night.    PACE - Leisurely.  No need for a tent. Usual - possibility of slightly overgrown tracks.
