(Cancelled) Glenbrook. Walk from the station to Station Rd, where the track will start. Follow the track to Duck hole,then following the creek to the next crossing, a bit of looking for the right spot. Following the creek there is no track but it is reasonable level and and not to difficult. Next crossing the creek to arrive at a nice beach where we will have lunch and time for a swim. Leaving we will have a small climb between narrow rocks. There are 3 beaches on the walk. Easy pace, no hurry. Limit: 8.

Save Kosci walk: day 18. 17.3km, mostly downhill or flat. A good day if you like views of wind farms on distant hills. After about 4km you cross into Monaro, John Barilaro’s electorate. Every person that sees you is potentially a voter – you’re usefulness just took a leap 😊. Overnight at the friendly Royal Hotel, built to last in 1882, iron lace balconies. Save Kosci walk: day 19. The route joins the Kings Highway so this is a day of high visibility for the walkers, except for two sections of walking parallel to the highway on tracks or fire trails. At day’s end, support cars will ferry walkers 5 minutes to accommodation on the farm of Save Kosci supporters in Carwoola – serene bush camping with a dinner generously provided by our hosts. Save Kosci walk: day 20. A shorter day at 14km. We will spend 20 minutes or so outside John Barilaro’s office in Queanbeyan, sending a clear message about feral horse damage and meeting local supporters there. The walk continues on footpaths, a quiet bike path and a short stretch of bike lane on moderately-busy Lanyon Drive. Should finish in the industrial area of Hume before 2:30pm. We will descend from Heathcote Station down to Kangaroo Creek, up to Robertsons Knoll along Uloola Track, with a side trip to Peach Tree Trig and then on to Aboriginal site, continue down to Uloola Falls, and then off-track along Kangaroo Creek to short scramble up Bottle Forest Trail. Back to Heathcote Station. Tree roots, slippery surfaces, off-track and short scramble up Bottle Forest Trail. Some short ladders. Location: Royal NP Map: Royal NP Limit: 15.

Numbers are strictly limited. Park at GR 342 178 on Wolgan Road. Walk north west, then north, then north east towards Woolpack Gap. Stay underneath the cliffs and use the Amphitheatres Pass to climb on top of the escarpment. Once on top, walk west to the lookout point at GR 341 203. From here, walk north east and down underneath the cliff line above Red Rock Creek, at around GR 342 210. Traverse underneath the cliff line all the way to Woolpack Gap, descend through the pass and walk back to the cars. Exploratory. Scrambling and exposure. Save Kosci walk: day 21. As an option, the Canberra Bushwalking Club will offer one or two activities designed for the preferences of visiting Save Kosci walkers. Possibilities include Serenity Rocks in Tallaganda State Forest (1 hour drive, beautiful forest and ferns, viewpoint, 4 hours walking on track) or Orca Rock in Namadgi NP (1 hour drive, open woodlands beside a creek, steep climb with scrub, viewpoints, dramatic granite rock formations, 5 to 6 hours walking of which the last hour is on grassy track) or a couple of hours kayaking on Lake Burley Griffin.
