Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPublic Transport | There are public transport options to and from this activity.RSVP only accepted from 2 weeks prior to 7 pm the day before event. Walk along the north shore of the Parramatta River from Meadowbank to Huntleys Point. Along the way we will visit Helene Park, Anderson Park, Settlers Park, Cleves Park, Kissing Point, Putney Park, Morrison Bay Park, Glades Bay Park, Banjo Patterson Park and Bedlam Bay, learning some Sydney history as we go. It's a colourful walk.  At this time of the year, we see purple jacarandas, red flame trees amongst giant fig trees.  Walk the cool rainforest in Looking Glass Bay, walk Jenny's Labyrinth, see orchid like Walking Lily in bloom, Parramatta River Regional Park, admire the community garden in Bedlam Bay and Gladesville hospital. We walk pass Gladesville Reserve before reaching Huntleys Point Wharf for a return trip home to Circular Quay or Meadowbank. Mud, steps, slip hazards.

The off-track sections involved are the ascending part, before joining with the well formed track. This is a more scenic route to Goochs Crater, a natural crater-like formation of non-volcanic type. Some rock climbing/scrambling of 45 degree involved. Some waratahs might still be in bloom. Some off-tracks, some slippery sections, creek crossing, loose rocks, rough tracks and exposure and rock scrambling of 45 degree.

Leave the gully when it turns north and traverse under the cliffs, generally north east. There are great views and caves to see, including the amazing Exploding Star Chamber. Continue up the Long Ridge Knife-edge spur, with more spectacular views along the way. About 6 km. Scrambling and exposure. Partly exploratory.

Upon arrival on this car-free oasis of bush, beach and tranquillity, we will be welcomed by tree-lined palms and jacarandas. On the lower grounds we'll walk past the Bowling Club and Bradleys Beach. On the higher grounds we'll get great views of the Hawkesbury River. We'll also walk past a Blackbutt – Rough-barked Apple Forest. Enjoy the scenic train ride across the Hawkesbury River and a joy ferry ride to the island. Enjoy lunch or Devonshire tea at Dangar Island Depot before taking the ferry back home. Bring money for ferry ($8.50 one way adult, $4.30 one way concession (not sure seniors are considered concession)). View

Green Point Lookout is beautiful and not often included in bush walks. The Mule Track is also not often included in walks and is an interesting track. Steep and slippery sections and creek crossings.
