From Bells Line Of Road we follow Jinki Ridge before descending to Jungaburra Brook which is crossed a few times before ascending to Jungaburra Ridge followed by Kamarah Ridge and then returning to Bells Line Of Road. This is a spectacular area containing pagodas, gullies, cliffs and fabulous views of the Grose Gorge. Tracks, off-track, ascent of a 5m rockface using climbers fixed steel rungs and fixed rope, scrambling and creek crossings. Off-track slip and trip hazards, slight chance of wet feet on creek crossings. Must be agile enough to climb the fixed steel rungs on a rockface. Snakes will be out and about. This walk starts at Rawson Park, Mosman. It descends to Chowder Bay to check if any fur seals are resting at the Navy wharves. Paths and tracks lead past fortifications to Middle Head. It descends to Balmoral Beach via the steel steps then returns uphill to Middle Head Rd along the old Tram way route. This is a Combined Activity with the "Wanderers". The ride is primarily on shared walkways/cycleways.
We start at the car park for Ferry Wharf at Rydalmere. ( John Street).
After crossing the Silverwater Bridge , we continue to The Armory and then into Olympic Park and Bicentennial Parks.
The exact route through these parks may be varied from discussion with riders, with final decisions by the leader.
The ride is mostly flat but there is the option of including some steeper gradients.
From Rhodes we cross the old railway bridge to Meadowbank and return to Rydalmere on the north side of Parramatta River.
Distance 30 Km approximately. The greatest hazards are other park users: walkers, dogs and other cyclists.
There are a few tight spots to be negotiable, so there is always the risk of a spill.
There may be slippery sections of pathways.

(Cancelled) We did this stunning walk as a training walk for Cape to Cape. As it is so beautiful, we are putting it on again in Spring when there will be even more wildflowers, so that others can enjoy it as well. This walk starts from Manly, pass a couple of beaches, a couple of lookouts, a hole in Bluefish wall. Then we explore the hanging swamps of Northhead, North Fort, observation post, 2 gun pits, barrel display, and the memorial walk. We will have morning tea at a prestigious point where you see the beautiful South Head from a distance. You can even treat yourself to a cup of coffee and a slice. From there, we will continue our way back to Manly, passing beautiful Collins Flat Beach, amongst lovely houses and ocean views. We can have a good break at Manly seashore for lunch. Then we will continue along some historic buildings and along the waterfront to the Spit. The walk to the Spit is studded with wildflowers at the moment. It is a wonderful treat to have the sea on your left and the spring flowers on your right. We walk past more beautiful beaches before hitting The Spit. For those who are feeling energetic, we will walk along the waterfront, tide permitting to beautiful Balmoral Beach where you can celebrate with a c0ol drink or ice cream. That will be an extra 3 km. On one rest day, there will be an optional short walk at Ambergate Reserve, a wildflower hotspot. Car shuffles each day suitable for 2WD vehicles (some unsealed roads). Leader will stay in one of the parks in Margaret River town, most likely at Margaret River Tourist Park on Station Street. There are many accommodation options. Please use email or text messaging for bookings. The walk follows the wild coastline from Kurnell to Cape Bailey Lighthouse on a combination of bush tracks, raised walkways and rocky cliff tops. It offers excellent views of the coastline south of Sydney, possible whale sightings and, hopefully, plenty of Flannel Flowers. We will return to Kurnell the same way as we came. A distance of 10km. An option will be provided to continue the walk to Cronulla, a distance of 13km and will be led by Renate Wood. (Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) Flying Fox accessed by a fire trail has the remains of the flying fox used to bring timber up from the valley. The walk then returns to the Cooks Nose Lookout, a wonderful lunch spot. On the edge of the escarpment there are spectacular views.
