A photographic journal of listening/learning at camps and along ancestral pathways in Gundungurra Country (Southern Blue Mountains). Our speaker, Yvonne Kaiser-Glass, is an archaeologist who has been privileged to be invited over the past 7 years, to participate in a 7-day off-track walk through Gundungurra Country in the southern Blue Mtns. Its premise is you have to walk Country to understand Country and from that respect follows. This talk promises to bring a unique insight into areas of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area that most of us will never see. Due to COVID, attendance is limited to 30, so booking is desirable, just by replying to this email or by the phone number below. Those attending must be double vaccinated. (Cancelled) ALL INTENDING WALKERS MUST BE DOUBLE VACCINATED.
Hat Hill Canyon is a spectacular canyon in the upper Blue Mountains which doesn't require abseiling. There are a few short swims so a wetsuit is required as the water is usually cold. A helmet is also a good idea and if you don't have one I have plenty I can lend out. This trip was cancelled previously due to the fires then floods in 2019/20 so I'm hoping, third time is lucky. A few short compulsory swims with rock scrambling and hopping along the creek. Location: Blue Mountains NP Map: Mount Wilson 89301N View |
