Commencing at Mobbs Hill, we follow the creek to where it joins Subiacco Creek which ultimately flows into the Parramatta River. We are walking through forest, parkland and some streets. There are a couple of creek crossings and as always we need to keep  a lookout for snakes.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFrom Helensburgh Station follow a variety of tracks, some new routes, crossing the Hacking River a few times. We will start with a visit to the old Helensburgh Tip with good views of the Conservation Area and city views. Continue along the Red Cedar Loop and descend the Lilyvale Track to the Karingal Flats area. Cross Camp Creek and follow tracks back to Helensburgh. Excellent Track walking in some pristine areas rarely walked. River crossings; loose, slippery sections.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(Nearly fully booked) This walk follows the track through forest, along creeks and beneath the M5 Motorway.  The Nattai River and Gibbergunyah Creek are crossed on the way. There are views and waterfalls along the route. The track itself is slippery in places.  It is listed as a grade 4 but some parts are grade 5.  There is one very steep gully to cross and a couple of creeks. Hazards:  Rough track, steep steps, slippery rocks and 4 creek crossing.

Along the way we'll pass by or visit Sub Base Platypus, Anderson Park, Nutcote, Curraghbeena Point Lookout, Sirius Cove and Curlew Camp. There are a number of exit points along the route if anyone needs to shorten the walk. Uneven tracks and footpaths. Many steps.

This course is focused on the safety of the first aider and extended care of an ill or injured casualty where help is likely to be delayed or inaccessible. Penders has a previous history with occupation by the Grounds and Myer families. The property was gifted to the people of NSW as part of Mimosa Rocks National Park and the culturally significant buildings are now managed by NPWS Track narrow & steep in parts. Wear suitable clothing for ticks.
