We start from Engadine with a fairly steep descend, then we walk along the Woronora River until we climb a steep ascend to Lucas Heights. We will return to Engadine along the river. Tracks are not obvious and some scrambling is involved, but it's easy paced. Pristine river, fantastic view and spectacular flora. If you are lucky, you may see an owl. Bring drinks and lunch/snack. Wombat Hill Lookout and Rebeccas View. The walk begins at Meryla Pass in Morton NP. From the locked gate continue on the fire trail along the ridge. There are several view points which look towards Mt Carrialoo, Crankeys Creek and Lake Yarrunga until reaching the end of the track overlooking Wombat Hill. Inspect the southern section of the park, entering via the road past the desalination plant. There is limited parking at the end of that road. We will check that road, the illegal access by 4WD, trail bikes, horses, etc and also look at weeds, track work, regeneration after fire, etc. Plan to walk along the coast to and perhaps a bit beyond the lighthouse.
