A very pretty canyon with lots of crayfish. No abseils but wet feet guaranteed. Volleys/sneakers recommended. Gaiters useful. Mostly off-track with some scrambling and a short ledge sidle where you wet everything if you fall in. A magnificent lunch spot with superb views into the Grose Valley. A steep scrambly descent into the canyon, slippery rocks and some jump downs but generally nothing too dramatic. A steepish climb out.

Both groups will be doing the same walks. Walks range from 10km to 20km and will be lead by Sheila Walker. Only RSVP if you can commit because pre-payment is required once confirmed and it is not refundable. The cost of accommodation will be $224 per person for the 7 nights. Please provide your full name and if you will be driving. If so, how many passengers can you take. Bring all food and linen. Share cooking is encouraged. Cleaning the lodge afterwards is essential. We must leave the lodge in the same condition we find it. Strong wind, rain, snow patches, slippery sections.

From our starting point at Mt Selwyn we travel via the following huts 4 Mile Dam, Broken Dam, Brooks, Mackeys, O'Keefes, Derschkos and Round Mountain. Camping near many of these as they offer shelter when the weather turns foul and good flat campsites. The highlight of the trip is climbing Mt Jagungal from Okeefes Hut, but the various frost hollow plains and what are usually spectacular floral displays are also worth coming along for! A bus ride from Turramurra Station will take us to the start of the Sphinx Track and then descend to Bobbin Head where we will have morning tea. As a New Year treat the leader will provide morning tea (gluten free tucker). From Bobbin Head we go up the Pipeline Track via Apple Tree Bay to Mt Kuring-gai Station. Walk will finish before lunch but you can bring lunch and have it before we reach Mt Kuring-gai Station, especially if we have just missed the train. Joint walk with The Bush Club. A bit of off-track and rock scrambling on the Pipeline Track.

Swim in the creek and splash under the water falls. Mostly shady. Perfect summer walk. Slippery rocks, creek crossing.

This is about the safest snokelling spot I can think of in Sydney. There are always many fishes around. If you haven't done snorkeling before, this is a good chance to learn. Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(Updated Details) Find out for yourself why this unique area, currently under threat, must be protected, now. Drive to approximately GR 468 058 on the Deep Pass Trail. Head down a spur trending slightly west of south and then south as it nears Dingo Creek. Visit Howling Arch, an amazing natural feature. Enter Dingo Creek and progress downstream for about 1.3km, visiting the scenic Pool of Diana on the way, continue underneath high cliffs to GR 476 048, the start of a north, north west trending ravine. Follow the ravine up, visiting the spectacular Pool of Aphrodite along the way, to eventually reconnect with the trail and the vehicles. All off-track, some rock scrambling and exposure.
