Bandula G.
Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPublic Transport | There are public transport options to and from this activity.(Updated Details) Berowra to Bobbin Head is section 3 of the 100km Oxfam trail which is along the well-known Great North Walk and the Harbour to Hawkesbury Walking Track in the beautiful bushland of northern Sydney. We start at the Berowra station, walk along the Benowie Track, head up Lyrebird Gully to Mt. Kuring-gai, then descend towards Cowan Creek on the Mt. Kuring-gai Track, continue alongside the water's edge and finish the section at Bobbin Head and then go back to Mt Kuring-gai Station. You would have the option to leave at Bobbin Head, walk along Bobbin Head Road to the Ku-Ring-Gai Creative Arts High School bus stop and take the 577 bus to Turramurra Station. This walk is one of the most pleasant in the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, with great views over the water as well as nice views from the ridge at Berowra. We would pass through Apple Tree Bay and stop at the cafe for a cuppa in Bobbin Head before heading off to the Mt Kuring-Gai station. Steep and slippery sections.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPhotography | A trip that has a strong focus on encouraging people to capture photographs.Public Transport | There are public transport options to and from this activity. The Great North walk is a mammoth multi-day hike and at 250 km, it’s not for the faint-hearted. Created in 1988 to celebrate Australia’s bicentenary, the walk links Sydney with the Hunter Valley and Newcastle. It is a one-stop-shop for some of the best scenery New South Wales has to offer. To make it more convenient, we will walk in sections. Public transport is available for the first few sections. Subsequent sections will mostly require car transport. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to walkers who attend all sections. Today we walk Section 1 : Macquarie Place to North Ryde. The first segment starts from Macquarie Place, corner of Bridge and Loftus Street. The enjoyable walk takes into history, seaview, grand houses, gardens, and churches. Kookaburras, lorikeets, boats, orchids, grand trees and plants were seen along the way. This walk involves a ferry ride. The second segment is a lovely bush track along the Lane Cove River. Cormarants, herons, brush turkey, lorikeets and other birds are expected to be seen. Wildflowers abound. Salt Marsh, sandstone caves, trees  and plants are all very lovely. Please include your mobile no when RSVP. Slippery sections.
