Tracks are not obvious and some scrambling is involved, but it's easy paced. Pristine river, fantastic view and spectacular flora. If you are lucky, you may see an owl. Bring drinks and lunch/snack. River crossings, slippery sections, rock scrambling, moderate rain forecasted.

There are several view points which look towards Mt Carrialoo, Crankeys Creek and Lake Yarrunga until reaching the end of the track overlooking Wombat Hill. On the return there is an optional trail leading to Rebeccas View over Sandys Creek on the other side of the ridge. Rough track, unfenced cliffs.

Inspect the southern section of the park, entering via the road past the desalination plant. There is limited parking at the end of that road. We will check that road, the illegal access by 4WD, trail bikes, horses, etc and also look at weeds, track work, regeneration after fire, etc. Plan to walk along the coast to and perhaps a bit beyond the lighthouse. Part of a series of three NPA field trips to different parts of the park to help inform people interested in writing and submissions for the new Kamay-Botany Bay NP DPOM.

Just past the crossing of Petries Gully commence the ascent of the ridge following the Pipeline Track to the saddle at the head of Green Gully. From this point, follow the ridge generally north east, firstly on a canyoners track and then untracked, walking with some rock scrambling. Spend time at the Inca Pathway. The return journey will be by the same route. Scrambling and exposure.

It's four hours drive from Sydney to this short portion of Cudgegong River in an astonishing photogenic bushland setting. Paddles can be figured out as we wish on the days, interspersed with bushwalking & socialising. Turn up any time from late Friday onwards. No shops nearby - bring enough food, water, nibbles, etc. It can get chilly so pack your thermal long johns, and everyone must bring a bag of kindling or firewood for the fire pits. It's a National Park; fees per night $6 adult & $3.50 child; bring the right change. http://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/camping-and-accommodation/campgrounds/dunns-swamp-ganguddy-campground PFDs compulsory.

Starting at Newnes and following Little Capertee Creek, then onto Point Nicholson and past the justifiably famous Red Rocks, before continuing along Canobla Creek down to Canobla Gap. Day 2 will see us exploring either Mt Canobla or Point Anderson before returning on day 3 via a different route back to Newnes. The grassy comfortable campsite has water nearby and is in a superb location surrounded by the magnificent GOS National Park. Rock scrambling and off-track walking.

Majestic in places with interesting diversity in the landscape and interesting rock art. This hike commences and finishes in Bled and is medium difficulty involving a 11km, 620m ascent; 10.5km, 1100m ascent; 11km, 700m descent; 8.5km, 340m ascent and a 18km, 1200m descent. There are two cycles. The first one is from Ljubljana in Slovenia to Porec in northern Croatia. Cycling for 9 days with daily distances from 35km to 57km. The second cycle is in the islands of Kvarner Bay in the northern Adriatic. It is a cruise and cycle covering 5 islands with cycling distances between 21km and 45km, difficulty grade 2 to grade 4. We stay two nights near the lovely Oldfields Hut and a climb of Mt Bimberi (highest mountain in the ACT) is then an option for us. A full pack walk requiring tents, food, and good gear as the weather can be extreme (and often is). Six nights out with the last spent near cars at Blue Waterholes.

From our starting point at Mt Selwyn we travel via the following huts 4 Mile Dam, Broken Dam, Brooks, Mackeys, O'Keefes, Derschkos and Round Mountain. Camping near many of these as they offer shelter when the weather turns foul and good flat campsites. The highlight of the trip is climbing Mt Jagungal from Okeefes Hut, but the various frost hollow plains and what are usually spectacular floral displays are also worth coming along for! Camp | An activity that involves an overnight stay, usually in a tent.Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longThe Walls of Jerusalem is probably my favourite walking area in Australia and on this trip we will travel via the Lake Rowallen entry point into this incredibly beautiful area and spend a couple of days exploring the various peaks, tarns, lakes and forests that this world heritage area has to offer. Then we will follow the lakes track past lakes Adelaide Meston and Junction to where we enter the Never Never region, taking this to Hartnett Falls. From here it's following the Overland Track past Bert Nichols Hut then diverging for a side trip to Pine Valley to explore the Labyrinth and climb the Acropolis and if time allows Mt Geryon. This is a walk you won't want to miss as we will discover a world of uncommon beauty, including masses of flowering herbs and shrubs, towering mountains worth climbing! Mostly on tracks with sections of open country off-track. Limit: 12. View
