Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longThe spectacular Gang Gang Falls and the ecosystems of Gang Gang Gorge that they are feeding are unlikely to survive the expansion of underground coal mining, recently approved by the Government. See this unique area whilst you can. Park at GR 398 038. Descend into Gang Gang Canyon and walk all the way through to Gang Gang Tunnels, visiting a cave at about GR 309 400 seen on the previous trip, as well as the cave at GR 405 043. After exploring the Gang Gang Tunnels, turn south and walk to the falls at GR 407 045, whilst inspecting the caves along the way. Continue south to visit Lots Wife and the adjacent cave. Find a way out to the western side and re-connect with the cars. All off-track, some rock scrambling and exposure.

The swell on the day will define how far we can travel along the rocky shoreline but we will anyway have to pay close attention to the prevailing local conditions as we scramble over sometimes slippery boulders and possibly up a steepish cliff section. We will visit the Organ Pipe Rocks for lunch. Then a beach walk on (hopefully) firm sand to Kiama and coffee before train return to Sydney. View

We shall walk 104 km in total with length of day walks ranging  from 10 km to 22 km. Car pool from Sydney to one night stay near Wangaratta on 15th before continuing to Apollo Bay and also on return (24th). Rain, wind, slippery and uneven sections.

Alison Farrell and John Thorn will be leading the moderately paced 7 day walks from Apollo Bay (staying in a big house) using car shuffle.  The walk is 104km in total with length of day walks ranging from 10 to 22km. Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longEarly start. Numbers are strictly limited. Park at GR 342 178 on Wolgan Road. Walk north west, then north, then north east towards Woolpack Gap. Stay underneath the cliffs and try to find a way up at about GR 347 205 (alternatively, traverse further east to Collett Gap). Once on top, walk to Collett Gap and from there, to Wolgan Rock. Return either via Collett Gap or the new pass at GR 347 205 (if it is possible). Exploratory. Scrambling and exposure.
