(Cancelled) This is a medium (grade 3) walk along Bargo River via Potholes Track to Diesel Pass and onto See Thru Falls then Mermaids Pool for morning tea.
We will then follow the Matilda Track to a series of lookouts. At the third lookout, we will split into 2 groups. The optional harder (grade 4) walk will continue on and down Rosies Pass into and along Tahmoor Gorge and lunch in the gorge then return via Jacks Pass. The easier (grade 3) walk will back track to one of the lookouts for lunch. Rough track, unfenced edges, slippery rocks & creek crossings. Park on Bells Line of Road at GR 766 889. Staying within the national park, make our way to the headwaters of Noorumboon Brook at GR 772 894, then follow the north west trending ridge above it on the right-hand side, exploring under the cliff lines, till about GR 775 913. Walk under the cliffs above Noorumboon Brook, then descend to the bottom at GR 771 902. Attempt to climb within it and out onto the ridge to the west. If not successful, take a ledge discovered on a previous walk, leading to the same ridge. Follow the ridge to reconnect with the parked vehicles. About 8 km. Exploratory. Scrambling and exposure.   Travelling by a fast train and then by bus, we reach the Princess Marina Track and follow it to the beautiful Kellys Falls and beyond, through distinctly different bushland to that is around Sydney or the Blue Mountains. From here we walk around to see some stunning views from the escarpment over the coast, before descending 150 metres down to Stanwell Park station for the journey home. Most of the walk is fairly flat except for the descent to Stanwell Park. Uneven and possibly slippery track surfaces, creek crossings and some tracks with steep drops to their side. There are sixty Camellia Gardens of Excellence in the world, with the Camellia Gardens and Lisgar Gardens in Hornsby being the only two in NSW. The Gardens have over 400 cultivars and species donated and acquired since its first plantings began in 1969, in addition to many other rare ornamental and native plants.  This is definitely one of my favourite walks in the Mugii Murum-Ban SCA as it shows off some of the most spectacular country in this fabulous location including an eagles eye view into the Valley of the Dinosaurs along with more pagodas than you can point a boot at!We will visit the Ultimate slot on the way back as it is only a short sidetrip! Once we leave the firetrail it is all offtrack walking along Treasure chest ridge but it is not terribly difficult. I've put the walk length at 6 kms but that is only if we are able to drive most of the way up the access road.  (NEW!!!) Meet at Gosford Station. Travel in cars to the start of the walk at the junction of a track off Old Pacific Highway. Walk along fire trails and tracks to an Indigenous rock art platform, an old quarry and then off track to the Mega Cave, an enormous cave. Walk back to the cars and then a short 5 min drive across the highway, park at the picnic area and walk the Pine Creek Loop track, passing Boondi, Illoura, Pines Creek, Broula lookouts back to the cars. Need Cars. Steep, slippery sections and an off-track section. Creek crossings Location: Gosford Limit: 15.
