When you rsvp, please provide your full name, contact no,  email address and bedding configuration.  A few members from NPA did this walking tour of Kimberley last winter and the feedbacks were positive.  For your comfort level, I’’m quoting  the insight from Graham. “The walks are no problem for NPA grade 3 walkers. Lots of river stone/rock walking cause they are mostly in gorges. Not long walks. 30 to 34 Deg every day. Down to 10-12 deg some nights so camping gets cool. Campfires. Coolest nights July. Purnalulu is coolest cause no fires allowed." Please see below link to itinerary and prices.

In the late 18th century, the discovery of a new continent filled with exotic plants unknown to the rest of the world created waves of excitement in the field of botany. The Australian Botanic Garden displays approximately 2000 of these plants via themed gardens across the site as well as the Connections Garden, a four-hectare intensely cultivated space right in the heart of the Garden. Other features of the Garden include a restaurant, visitor centre with gift shop, free gas barbecues and acres of Cumberland Plain Woodland to explore. Come Spring, the paper daisies become an attraction for visitors. Various species of Waratahs will be flowering too. After seeing the floral display, we will walk to the Sundial, Mount Annan Peak, the Blue Tree before leaving the Garden to visit Lake Yandel'ora before catching the bus home. Expect a long day.

5 Jan, Fri 8:00AM Short summer walks: Cooper Park
Grade:2/6 Length 6km  150m Sydney Branch
(SWAG) Esther
Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longCooper Park is a large bushland reserve with many walking tracks and recreational facilities available. Cooper Park's worth as a recreation area was recognised as far back as 1885 when the Government was asked to purchase land from the Cooper Estate for recreational purposes. It was not until 1913 that Sir William Cooper agreed to give the whole of the gully from Victoria Road, Bellevue Hill to Manning Road, Double Bay to the Council as a park. Subsequent additions over the years have brought the Park up to its present area of 38 acres (15 ha.) The creek running through the Park is largely natural and follows the line of a volcanic dyke of the Jurassic age while the hillsides support a wide variety of native trees and shrubs. Development over the years included extensive walking tracks/paths, with shelter sheds built and picnic areas laid out. View
