High above the Newnes Campground is Old Baldy, a massive set of cliffs named by rock climbers and
within its rocky face is the Skywalker Traverse, a long a series of ledges and overhangs. This is a great
walk and not that difficult, although it does entail some scrambling, mainly off-track walking, but
certainly worth it.

Follow the fire trail along Devlins Creek passing Whale Rock before coming to the junction with the Great North Walk (GNW). We will continue along the GNW to Browns Water Hole and the turnoff to the Terrys Creek Track. Once on this track we will navigate our way to the falls. Depending on the water level in the creek, we will cross the creek and proceed to Epping Station. Booking essential giving mobile, emergency and NPA numbers. Rough and slippery track in a few spots. Morning tea and opportunity to look around, walk to lookout etc. Then drive back to Lawsons Long Alley. Walk down Lawsons Long Alley, Hartley Vale Road, then up Lockyers Trail back to cars. Views, rocky outcrops. Steep, VERY muddy area guaranteed to get feet wet. Limit: 15. View |

(Cancelled) Track closed until further notice. This year the winter solstice falls on a Tuesday so we plan to combine our breakfast winter solstice event from the Boxvale Track. Return to the car park to offload unwanted bits and then do the 40' Falls Track to make a day of it. Bring hot soup and camera. As this is a two part event walkers can opt to do either or both parts. We expect to return to the cars for the 40' falls leg at around 9:30.
