One Dreaming Creation story. Seven walks. Seven days. Seven sisters. Seven rivers/creeks. Seven valleys. Up to 70,000 years. Seven million stars. A photographic journal of listening/learning at camps and along ancestral pathways in Gundungurra Country (Southern Blue Mountains).
Our speaker, Yvonne Kaiser-Glass, is an archaeologist who has been privileged to be invited over the past 7 years, to participate in a 7-day off-track walk through Gundungurra Country in the southern Blue Mtns. Its premise is you have to walk Country to understand Country and from that respect follows.
This talk promises to bring a unique insight into areas of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area that most of us will never see.
Due to COVID, attendance is limited to 30, so booking is desirable, just by replying to this email or by the phone number below. Those attending must be double vaccinated. Entry is by gold coin donation.

Accommodation | An activity that involves an overnight stay, using hard-roofed accommodation such as a cabin, hut or hotel.Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long60 Best walks | This is one of the NPA's 60 best walks.(Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) ALL INTENDING WALKERS MUST BE DOUBLE VACCINATED AND BE ABLE TO PRODUCE YOUR DIGITAL CERTIFICATE UPON REQUEST. Kosciuszko National Park is always popular in the summertime and staying at a very comfortable lodge at Charlottes Pass is the perfect way to enjoy the beauty of the region with fellow like-minded walkers! The accommodation is at a ski lodge and is via twin share/double rooms and DIY cooking. This lodge is an extremely comfortable place to stay and use as a base and all the rooms have ensuites, there is a communal kitchen and plenty of room to social distance if you need to. As in previous years, I will have several leaders to take walks on each day so you can choose who you might like to walk with and the grades range from 2 to 5. It's essential to book early onto this walk as every year I usually have a long waiting list.

Starting at Thornleigh Station we walk through suburban streets for a short while before diving into the bush at the southern end of Berowra Valley Regional Park. Soon after visiting the site of the historic Zig Zag railway we start wandering through the Berowra Creek Valley, passing a few cascading creeks. The track undulates along the side of the valley visiting a range of environments from moist fern forest to the drier grass tree and eucalypt forests of the ridge. There is a short side trip to visit the Westleigh engravings and a chance to pop down to fishponds, before climbing up the depression era stone steps to Hornsby Station. Steep and slippery sections.
