Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(NEW!!!) Park at GR 812 012 at the end of T3 Trail and walk to Cascade Peak, then descend to Upper Tootie Cascades. Explore the cliff line on the southern side of Tootie Creek for the next kilometre, then continue to Tootie Cascades. Ascend Staircase Ravine and walk back to T3 Trail. Partly exploratory. About 8 km. Scrambling and exposure.

The vegetation is very different on each of the tracks. Extension to Plane crash site off track. Return to the car park for Melbourne Cup Festivities. Slippery rocks. Some off track for optional extension.

Rd. through weather-beaten forest to Buckleys Headland. This is a great walk for anyone who isn’t into too many hills with a rewarding unencumbered view south to Narrawallee and north to Cunjarong Point. Coffee afterwards back in Milton but if you would like a restful snack at the headland bring that as well. Good shade if the weather is hot.

Strictly limited spaces, so if interested, please contact me asap. There is 1 place left on this trip. Before the Ecuador trip we'll be going on 2 short trips in Peru, one to Machu Picchu and another to a research station in the middle of the Amazon. Both of these are relatively cheap trips. View

A lovely walk around Hunters Hill to hopefully still see some Jacarandas in bloom. We are walking via the historic Woolwich Dock and through Kellys Bush, which was saved after the community fought the developers and won. Paths follow portions of both the Parramatta and Lane Cove Rivers and is part of the Great North Walk. We end at Boronia Park, though the walk can be adjusted to accommodate the weather. Meet the leader at Woolwich Wharf at 9:08am. Bookings are not being taken for this walk so just turn up and register. Check the NPA website the night before, to see if the walk has been cancelled due to bad weather. Uneven paths, hills, dogs and street walking.

We will see beautiful bushland, the lagoon, bird life, beaches and the harbour.  There may be a sea breeze. Note: Try to use the toilet at Waterfall station during train connection.

The flannel flowers are abundant at this time of the year. The 10km Manly Scenic Walkway beings at Manly Wharf, passes sandy beaches, ancient Aboriginal sites and incredible lookouts, before arriving at the Spit Bridge where you can catch a bus to the city.
  • Distance and time: 10km one-way
  • Level: Grade 3 track. Suitable for most ages and fitness levels with occasional sections of stairs. There are also sections of sand, bush tracks and boardwalk. Not suitable for prams or wheelchair users.
  • Top attractions: Clontarf ReserveGrotto Point Aboriginal engraving site, Crater Cove Lookout, Forty Baskets Reserve and Manly.
  • Toilet facilities at the start and end of the walk and at Clontarf Reserve, Reef Beach, Forty Baskets Beach, North Harbour Reserve and Fairlight Beach.
  • Drinking fountains are available at Clontarf Reserve, Fairlight Beach and Manly.

Cycle four tidal canals and one greenway and a network of creek-side cycling trails, unearthing some of Sydney's secretive canals that lead to the Cooks River. Must be confident riding on roads. A site seeing tour, approximately 35 kms return. Starting and finishing at Wolli Creek Railway Station, returning approx. 3:30 pm. Bring morning tea, lunch at local Thai Restaurant in Newtown. Meeting 9:45 am for a 10:00 am start. Bring sufficient drinking water and sun cream. Must book in with leader. When contacting leader please provide: full name, mobile number, emergency contact details, name of club (s) & membership number (where applicable), First Aid Yes/No. Must bring spare tube (s) and repair kit.
