Return up to Blackheath via Porters Pass Gully. Creek crossings. Track poor at times. Steep sections. Lots of steps. Scrambling over and under fallen trees. This is a solid walk. It feels longer than 8km. From the valley we climb over 300m in 2km.

Commit to the whole series, (15 sections), and you will be rewarded with a certificate acknowledging your achievement. Today we walk from EMU PLAINS TO BLAXLAND. The highlights and sights along the way include Lennox Bridge, The Gatekeepers Cottage, John Whitton Memorial, The Great River walk, Mount Sion Park, Marges Lookout. The Lennox Bridge is a heritage-listed road bridge at Mitchells Pass. It is the oldest stone arch bridge on the Australian mainland.     Steep and slippery sections. Social distancing will be observed. Limit: 12. View

The walking circuit is accessed from the Metro Station via tracks through the Castle Hill Showground and Fred Caterson Reserve. The walk is a mixure of pave tracks, bush tracks, fire trails and streets. Track could be rough and slippery in parts. Limit: 15. View

Follow the powerline trail a short distance before climbing back up to Yellow Rock Rd by a better track. Walk out to the Lookout for lunch. Then a 2km road walk to the bus stop at Illingworth Rd. Some weeds and grass seeds, so sock protectors may be useful.

There is also Coles and other take away food in Rhodes shopping centre and cafes close by. After the Christmas in July picnic lunch, there will be two walks. 1. We will walk the Kokoda Memorial walkway to Olwen's Corner and follow along the river to Rocky Point and Major's Bay then return. 12 km 2. We continue to Cabarita to catch the ferry.  8km View

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFully Vaccinated | All participants must be able to show proof they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to particpate.(Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) Gibbergunyah Nature Reserve is between Bowral and Mittagong.  The walk takes in views of Mt Gibraltar (Highest point between Sydney and Canberra), Ninety Acre Hill Lookout and a track which winds through a beautiful fern gully. The track is sometimes overgrown and difficult to locate. Hazards: Rough track, steep sections, slippery rocks and unfenced cliff edges.
