A series of three one-day walks from a base camp exploring the Nullo Range (directly north of the Yodellers Range) between Myrtle Gap and Lovers Leap. The plan for each day is to be advised, and our progress will depend on our ability to penetrate this very difficult but spectacular terrain. Exploratory. Scrambling and exposure. About 6 km every day.

Track may be more difficult in the gorge due to recent flooding. May need to back track if necessary.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPark on the eastern edge of the Little Capertee Creek Camping Ground and make our way to Petries Gully. At GR 438 276, take a western tributary, then exit northwards and climb to spot height 958. Continue to a high point at GR 437 296, then descend north west on a spur to a lookout spot at around GR 441 303. Retrace to the previous high point, then use a known slot to come underneath the cliffs. Return via Green Gully Divide. Partly exploratory. Scrambling and exposure. About 15 km.

Lots of possibilities for exploring so a sense of adventure is a requisite! I've graded this walk a 5 due to the off-track nature and because of the rock scrambling. Rock scrambling/off-track walking.

The Great North Walk is a 250 km walk from Sydney to Newcastle along bush tracks. The Sydney to Wondabyne walks were completed in 2019. This section is from the Wondabyne Station to the Old Moony Mooney Bridge. There will be a car shuttle between Hawkesbury River Station and the Old Mooney Mooney Bridge (45 mins return), and participants must come in a car with no more than the driver and 1 passenger. The walk will start at Wondabyne Station after a train ride from Hawkesbury River Station.

Part of the Great South Coast Walk  (http://greatsouthcoastwalk.net/) a long-distance walking route along the southern coastline of New South Wales, from Bundeena on the southern fringe of Sydney, to Mallacoota, just over the border in Victoria, 660 km in total. As part of Parramatta to Shoalhaven Heads, we will walk from Austinmer to Corrimal stations. From Austinmer we climb to the escarpment foothills and walk the Gibson track to Thirroul. Descending through streets and parks we stop at the DH Lawrence Reserve next to the house where the author wrote Kangaroo. From there we follow the coastal cycleway through the Sandon Pt Aboriginal Place, beaches and headlands to Bellambi Dunes, a rare natural dune system on a much modified coastline. Finally we follow Towradgi Creek from its estuary to Corrimal station. Limit: 15. View
