(Nearly fully booked) Co-Leader: Bob Rankin.
Part of the Great South Coast Walk (http://greatsouthcoastwalk.net/) a long-distance walking route along the southern coastline of New South Wales, from Bundeena on the southern fringe of Sydney, to Mallacoota, just over the border in Victoria, 660 km in total.
As part of Parramatta to Shoalhaven Heads, we will walk from Austinmer to Corrimal stations. From Austinmer we climb to the escarpment foothills and walk the Gibson track to Thirroul. Descending through streets and parks we stop at the DH Lawrence Reserve next to the house where the author wrote Kangaroo. From there we follow the coastal cycleway through the Sandon Pt Aboriginal Place, beaches and headlands to Bellambi Dunes, a rare natural dune system on a much modified coastline. Finally we follow Towradgi Creek from its estuary to Corrimal station. Limit:15. T:
